Hi guys.. I found out a strange thing actually.. People can set different core and the cars behave different! ex one can set +130 core and one can set +200 core but both have actually samme clock ex. 2100 mhz.. For some reason my card really boost high and I think maybe thats what went wrong with other BIOS... If I set +130 I get 2100 mhz.. So thats about it.. because the card cannot handle 2150-2200 mhz without some kind of voltage mod/ unlocked bios.. So I am very curious regardless of your core setting.. whats your guys actual clock speed mhz max stable? My guess is that 2100-2125 is absolute max IF game stable.. Why turbo boost behave differently is maybe due to temperatur (air/water) so on.. Let me hear your max clocks game stable

You were right! I have a badly installed waterblock.. I used to wrong too long screws, so poor contact PCB/block and messed with some different thickness thermal pads! doh! that's why running hot and smell burned/ bios not worked for me? haha! :D I will fix tomorrow and post my results.. I will also reconsider the 300w 126% = 380 w bios... I have right now a 260w 130% = 338 w bios which is also quite nice..

Update from yesterday where bad seated waterblock, high temp- mess with mix in thickness of thermal pads..
WELL! I nervous took the 2080 ti PCB and waterblock apart.. I was kind of afraid because the board warped kinda some places when trying to remove.. I had no choice than carefully remove and proceed.
The bad thing I then noticed was due to too long screw the silver "mounting holes/pin" from the waterblock had come off!! 3 of them.. I had to use a plier and hold that while screwing from other side.. My mood was grim because the block is copper and that is very soft.. ! So i would expect the thread to be damaged! ... However I could screw them in with my fingers to begin with.. and carefully tighten with plier... wauv! sweat on my forehead!
A 2080 Ti costing a fortune kinda wanna warp and look like break coming off.. and 3 pins forced out of copper block.. I am not lying I was sweaty! 📷
I fixed the thermal pad same thickness according to spec and manuel and cut them precise.. put everything together and carefully the screw where one could expect picky threads in copper - but no everything got well tighten and assembled..
I installed the card, filled water in and moment of truth!
Stock speed 380W BIOS 3dMark.. fekkin´41g celsius ! (from 75-80g)
Full OC 380W BIOS 126% amazing 44 g !!!!!!!! That's very low, especially with so much power/current..
Wauw i'm happy and very relieved now the operation is over and went well ..
Instantly I broke all my record with few clicks!
3DMark 11 Graphics score 52170
Timespy 12414 (graphic 15941)
And im just getting started with the 380w bios.. these were quick numbers 126% / +120 / +500 Core was running constantly 2115 mhz, memory at 15 Gbps!
Wauw i'm happy and very relieved now the operation is over and went well .. And my coil whine got a little better! MAYBE due to proper cooling? (3DMark11 = worst coil whine)

Nicklas0912 only downside, is that at defaut settings, only 1 fan is spinning, so have to make to enable automatic control in Precision X1, before both works at defaut. I just did this and I can't get it to run at zero RPM mode. I thought the non-FE cards could idle at 0. But I have one fan spinning no matter what I set it to.

When it’s idle so that it doesn’t make any noise...a lot of cards do it.

It's running at 34%. One fan. It's quiet but it's not silent.

Yes. Overall percentage isn't important. What the vbios allows at max percentage is more important, and the vbios I linked allows 380w @ 126%.

Using the vbios listed in this thread should work just fine.

Hello guys, Trying to get the most out of my GPU i'm a bit curious. Owner of a 2080-Ti XC Ultra Gaming i already have some nice result with power target set to 130%: 3dmark.com/spy/5207758 Got a simple question, what's the maximum Watts usage of the retail XC Ultra Gaming, how much more watts can i expect from using the 380Watts ROM? Thanks! PS: EVGA XC Ultra Gaming 2080-Ti is amazing, i first bought a Gigabyte 2080-ti and thenr eturned it before grabbing the EVGA (had a 1080 EVGA before) and it's a wonderful card, love it!

I think the stock vbios is like 292w, then the vbios evga provides is 338, and the vbios in this thread allows 380w. So you'll be able to use an extra 42 watts.

Sorry to quote you like this when it isn't exactly related to what you said, but I feel you may be the best person to ask. Have you tested to see whether flashing the EVGA bios allowed you to control the LED color on your FE card?
