Ok...so it's October.... Any update on the Hybrid models? With the air cooled versions set to ship in the next few days I figure the Hybrid ones will be up next. Hoping to hear an update soon as the 2080 TI FTW3 that I pre-ordered will be going into a machine I'm selling. I'm just hoping I don't miss out on the next round of pre-orders and manage to secure a hybrid for myself...

Hopefully when they come back with an update next week about getting the air cooled ones out the door then they will put this one up for pre-order.

Jacob posted an update in the thread about the 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra order status https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2864684

1080ti ftw3 hybrid 2080 ftw3 hybrid 2080ti ftw3 hybrid
Money is not really and object but performance/dollar means something.

The 1080ti will be the better performance/dollar. However, i think that 2080 is almost similar with 1080ti in performance, but more expensive and with additional features. The 2080ti is 70% more expensive with only 40% of performance gain... So i think it doesn't make much sense to buy.

I originally ordered the 2080 ti FTW3 Ultra & was going to throw the hybrid kit on it, but since Jacob said the Hybrid card itself was due in October I think I'm going to just pick that up instead. With the air cooled variant taking this long it made the choice a no brainer. Hopefully we will get an official update on hybrids soon.

Yea but you have access to raytracing and dlss which are two interesting features if game devs are willing to implement. Dlss, i see this one going far, i believe AMD could also benefit from such feature eventually. Actually Nvidia should work with AMD so they can also benefit from DLSS and then game deva would have a huge incentive to implement it which would in turn provide more reasons for consumers to get dlss capable cards.

Is the add-on kit the very same thing as the hybrid aio ? Im curious if the hybrid covers vrms and more “chips” than the upgrade kit.

Yes, it's the same thing. You might be able to save a few bucks if you buy the actual Hybrid GPU instead of both separately. Buying them separately will also have a new original GPU cooler collecting dust.

Make sure to hold on to the cooler.... While adding the hybrid kit won't void your warranty if you ever need to send the card in for anything you will have to return it to factory condition before sending it back to EVGA.

Also the hybrid card would have the full 3 year warranty on both the card and hybrid cooler. Buying them sep you will only have a 1 year warranty on the hybrid cooler.

Well...one week down & hopefully less than 3 weeks to go. With all of the delays I'm just hoping the hybrid card gets released this month. I'm tempted to wait to see if any good games get thrown in, but I'm kinda in a crunch to get it before the end of the year.

Hopefully we can get more updates on the Hybrid model. I see that EVGA has started shipping their FTW3 models now. With all the delays and shortages going on, I hope I can get a hybrid card before the end of the year.

I hope to pick one up before EOY too, I'm here on these forums everyday waiting on an update. I've also been hounding Jacob on Twitter, not that it makes a difference lol. I know they will update us as soon as possible, it's just hard to wait.

gigabyte confirmed today on their stream Waterforce version is about 1 month away. I would expect the same thing out of all the AIB's due to shortage of chips from Nvidia to bin.... probably announced last week of Oct for pre-order, ship late nov for Ti

EVGA, Gigabyte, MSI, Whichever one is available first will be my purchase. I hate the design of the MSI Sea hawk, kinda wish they went with the braided tubes instead but I could always get the tube sleeves from CableMod. All this waiting is getting out of hand, we need more updates instead of the usual response "Please Look Forward To It".

I had the same feeling when i was waiting for the TitanXm kit back then. It’s annoying. Also, i’ve been looking around and if the 2080ti is around 25% faster than 1080ti (no dlss) and the 2080ti is around 100% more expensive, what’s the point of buying it ? Will wait to see if 1080ti ftw3 hybrid gets a good discount on black friday or cybermonday before i make a choice.

I am pretty sure they are not making that card anymore. I'll be selling mine when my new card gets here.

Yeah...starting at over $1k. You will not be getting that card on sale for black friday or any other day....unless you consider on sale at over MSRP.

Well a friend got it @950$CDN 3-4 weeks ago from amazon. Add shipping etc. That's a good price for that card/performance. Anyway out of topic. Still looking out for 2080ti ftw3 hybrid nonetheless.

I’m getting to this point too...I need something before the end of the year & with it being under water they should all be close in performance. EVGA is at the top of my list tho.
