I pre-ordered the Torq X10 Carbon back in June.  It has been my primary mouse since.  I love the mouse.  There is just one problem with it: the paint is coming off.  It seems to come off at the points where my fingers contact the paint.  I know that I'm not a Xenomorph.  I don't secrete acid.  I don't know if the paint on my mouse is defective or not.  Either way this shouldn't be happening to a mouse that retails for $100.

Has anyone else had this problem?  Here are some pictures to show how the mouse looks:

Hello SchmoSalt,

I'm very sorry to hear that your Torq Mouse is experiencing this.  To be honest we have not seen this type of issue with the Torq Mouse line-up however we are definitely here to support you.  I have recently set up a cross-shipment for you and emailed the details of the RMA to you. We will take care of the shipping and include a prepaid label with the replacement in the box so you can send us back the defective one.

We do apologize for the issue and if you have any additional questions, feel free to email me or contact support.

Regards,

Wow.  This is amazing customer service.  eVGA will be at the top of my list if I end up getting a 970.

Thanks for everything!

I dont know how they paint the buttons, but I have krylon treated plastic parts of my rifle. I have had similiar looking issues when it makes an almost unnoticable bubble or dust pieces.

The RMA came in with the full packaging.  Should I return the original accessories as well or would that just generate more work for you?

Is that EVGA new policy for Peripherals now? I was told before the mouse came out that customers would have to pay return shipping.

Great response from EVGA!
Just to offer a counter point, I think the paint wearing looked kinda cool. It reminded me of the worn paint on the rifles from Afghanistan. If you look at the new Call of Duty Xbox One there is an attempt to actually give the console the appearance that the paint has worn away. But hey, whatever makes you happy, I'm glad EVGA was able to take care of you.

Will have to wait and see if they do that for everyone. I know Logitech will send prepaid shipping label with all RMA replacements.

Thats interesting.  I have had one RMA with Logitech for the g9x.  They said we will ship you a new one and dont worry about shipping the old one back.

This is starting to happen to my x10 as well. I won't be sending mine in though as the mouse still works great.

They should of used dyed plastic buttons instead of paint.

The mouse comes with 3yr warranty and hasn't been on the market for a year. Of course it will still be within warranty period.
