Your point?
My point sir, is that I have hardly seen any evidence of TOS violations warranting a Broad-based scolding of the community in this thread so far. If certain posts have been in violation of TOS, then by all means we should deal with that directly. None will argue that as we want a clean forum that follows the rules of the TOS. Threats from mods/admin without substance, however simply propogates a socialistic demeanor. Is that what we want MY/OUR forum to be remembered for? Did that answer your question about my point, Sir? I'm disappointed in people with how they believe this is remotely a meaningful event. They guy is irrelevant extremist trash. His death is not going to improve anything when it comes to militant extremists wanting to kill people around the world. Terrorists are not a top-down lead hierarchy. They're lead by their misguided beliefs, not by people above them. We are all being played for fools by people in Washington right now to deflect attention on issues of greater importance. This is largely a symbolic and empty event in the grand scheme of things.

It's meaningful to the families that were affected. It's meaningful to the state of New York as a whole, and as an American it should be meaningful to us all. Good riddance. One down, many more to go.

Brad... I feel a lot of what you are saying. There are other issues. But just like when each of those other issues are resolved one by one.. The same thing will be said at each one of those as well. This is a good thing way beyond the spin from the Media, and yet also means nothing in many other ways. You and I both know that.

You know, I might agree with you about how this affects anything with regard to the world stage. Maybe not. However, while this may not be important to you as a meaningful event, this brings closure to many people who's lives were affected by 9/11. My sister was nearly one of those harmed by the attacks of 9/11, as she was a mile outside of Ground Zero when the attacks hit. Today's news, I can guarantee you, mattered to her. The international implications of news of Bin Laden's death are irrelevant, unless that's the only impact you are concerned with. For some people, however, how his death will affect some extremist in another country is the furthest thing from their minds.
