I thought this was both religious and political. I guess there is this thin line of gray area. Like let's say if it was a legal pad it would be the red line down the side. Honestly, I don't really see the point, I feel sorry for his family and his loved ones, but that is what is expected when you fight for a lost cause. Let's give credit where credit is due, The ones who accomplished 911 were the man in the planes that gave there life for the act. Not the dude hiding in the basement of the school. He's probably hanging with 2pac and biggie in Jamaica right now. Haha. Rasta!

NAVY SEALS FTW!!!! I can just picture it all going down. Helicopters swoop in, seals rappel down, storm the castle, boom headshot. I bet they just blasted him on sight. MISSION COMPLETE! Capturing him alive was not even a thought in my mind.

Navy Seals did good. But the real question is, what new force have we unleashed onto the Earth to take over where Bin laden had left off.
I will either find a way, or make one. ٩(๏̯͡๏)۶

I applaud the professionalism of this operation, particularly the manner in which the body was handled. It is crucial that we adhere to humane and decent standards to further illustrate the difference between civilized people and this individual.

This event, be it fake or real, has an impact on political and religious communities worldwide. I think the moderators want to keep it to a discussion based on information relevant to this event, or at the very least, speculation as to the authenticity of his death. With that said, good point about credit where it is due...but the reality is, most of the puppets have already been tracked down or died in the initial act, there are only a few loose ends left, and a confirmed death of this man is one of them. I do not feel sorry for him or his family...I feel sorry for the families of the people who lost their lives at his hands. Religious or political ideals are often worth fighting for and dieing over, but killing people uninvolved in your struggle is the equivalent of a gang banger gunning down a 2 year old because it was the child of a rival gang member. The point of this thread is information and discussion surrounding the death of a wanted man, the mods are allowing us to talk about said death, but ask us to keep our philosophical differences out of the discussion.

I know there is a lot more to do but this does give me a sense of closure. I come from a less mericiful opinion than George W. Bush did. Had I been President I would of nuked everyone of the enemy states that were giving us problems even before we knew Al-Qaeda was the problem. The U.S. has an aging nuclear arsenal and it costs billions to keep and maintain them, let alone deactivate a nuke. I would have fired off enough to do the job. It would have saved the U.S. trillions of dollars and had the whole shebang wrapped up before dinner. It would also let the world know that the U.S. still had sharp fangs. If the enemies were nuked there wouldn't be anyone left to give us, "terrorist," grief. Those areas of the Earth would have been left barren for a thousand years. Even if those countries had something the U.S. needed someone could break through the glass and dig it up. I think a lot of people probably feel similar to myself. I only mention all of this because Al-Qaeda has gotten off pretty easy so far.

I was simply stating that he believed what he was doing was right. Now alot of his family members were removed from the US after the tragedy for their safety. And a eatery down the street here was getting threatening letters due to the owners name. Osama.

Collateral damage, acceptable loses, well can't make an omelet without breaking a few heads uhh legs umm eggs sorry. Covered that up quite nicely. I have friends who have been shot and shot others if not for gang relation, armed forces, or other third thing but, they believed what they were doing was the right thing, so I guess it is self perception.
