No offence buddy, I made a separate thread on my optimus block for my 3090 ftw3....  One can only brag soooo much you know...  Takes away gaming time from fully maxed out graphics settings.


Besides...  i have noticed when people are happy with there product they don't hang around too much on the problem boards....
 
Don't hate the player, hate the game... 





Only show GPU temp like many not explain water temp so we can not isolate performance of block himself.

lmao. We don't need to know the water temp. Water temp is up to the radiators and pump. We are talking about the block here. Only people complaining are the ones who wish they had it, can't afford it, don't want to wait or don't know about it.

We'll see. I for one am rooting for an American company to thrive. Just glad I didn't go with a bykski or alphacool with all the leaking and lack of contact on VRM components.

Yes we should know water to judge how block exactly can perform also useful if we knowing thermal componds application. Some user do not care about look and feeling so do not want to waste his resources if just the normal performance, not a problem if other user prefers beautiful block.

It is not normal performance. Everyone that has one has already shown that. The thing weighs 5 pounds. It has a gigantic fujipoly pad for the entire PCB back. There is nothing else like it right now.

U would if your planning to use liquid metal on the gpu!!!!! Nickle is the only thing that it doesn't react with. Liquid metal is no joke but u have to be very careful

Nickel is the only way I will go. Copper doesn't handle the elements or time as well as nickel. Also nickel fits my build better. The fujipoly is the same for both cards. If I were going for world records I suppose copper could give me a slight edge but wouldn't I be running LN2 at that point?

Kind of. It is just the nature of bare copper though. You cannot do much about it. That is why I like nickel. He is speaking more about the nickel plating process they are using and how it is superior to the other stuff out there. It uses a process that takes a lot more time to do.

Please keep us updated on progress once you get it. Will be very interesting to see how it goes. I know Optimus plans on making one specific for the KP but they are rather slow to put it mildly.

I was told they would release a Kingpin block mid Feb.  It seems that email exchange was one of the last ones anyone had with them.
 
I did notice that they started reposting photos on Twitter this week.  I guess they got someone to work on their account.  
 
I also went to check on my cpu block and res/pump order Tuesday and found out they had shipped it 30 min earlier lol.  It's supposed to arrive tomorrow, but who knows with the post office tracking.  Their site says it's still in Illinois.  Anyway I would really like to get the KP water block if one ever comes out.  
 
Oh and I think your order number is just a count of total orders, not blocks, over the company's history.

Oh and copper vs nickel.
 
I use liquid metal, which means copper isn't ideal over the long term.  It'll etch into the copper too much, while the nickel etching is a MUCH slower process.  
 
It would be cool to find out how much a difference you get between nickel with liquid metal, vs copper with normal thermal paste.  You'd have to sample more than 2 blocks to get an idea of course.  Nickel doesn't have anywhere near the same conductive properties of copper... but the thickness is also a major factor in that conduction.

Nice. Glad to see that batch 2 is about all wrapped up. They were getting a lot of flack because of the delays and rightfully so. The weekly small batches will help in that regard I believe.
