You probably still have a few weeks to wait with that thermal pad shortage they had.

I just ordered an optimus block and was wondering during the installation is there anything that I should be concerned about or any tips/pointer that could be shared.  I tried looking around for additional info, but there isn't much out there about this block except that the performance is great and the materials used is really good.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.  I looked over the other posts in this thread about using the EVGA instructions for the hybrid installation.  I also bought a heat gun to bend tubes so I was going to heat up the rear plate and the stock radiator a little before I tried to remove them.  I was looking at the instructions from Optimus and I saw where thermal pads were to be placed.  I noticed that they don't put thermal pads on the power phases.  Did anyone place thermal pads on the power phases and if so what did you use?  
 
There are thermal pads on the mosfets, inductors, VRAM and the whole backside of the PCB.
 
Also, on the back side of the pcb, the pressure spreader I was wondering if you have to reinstall that when you put on the Optimus block or do you just remove it.  This would be the 4 screws around the GPU die.  The instructions were not clear as to if have to reinstall that pressure spreader.  
 
You do not reuse the spreader.

slightly off (GPU) topic, but can anybody tell me how they've been with shipping the reservoirs? I ordered a CPU block and res, they shipped the cpu block within a few days, but still no word on the res. Just curious what kind of wait I may be in for if anybody knows. It was shown as "in stock" when I ordered it.

Using the optimus block now for about 2 months, roughly 4-6 hours a day for gaming and office stuff and its still working perfectly. No signs of leakage or performance loss. Even after 8 hours of non stop Cyberpunk my gpu stays about 8C above water temp and the hottest i got the backside vram was 60C.
I also use the xc3 bios to get around the Power limitations of my ftw3 card, on air at 2000 rpm the gpu ran up to 80C. Was my first waterblock installation, just take your time and be patient then the installation is really easy. I recommend using a cheap childrens toothbrush with some isopropanol to clear that thermal putty, worked wonders for me and childrens toothbrushes are smooth enough so you cant damage componens.

Figured I'd share, but I ordered a Foundation AMD CPU block on May 14, 2021 and I just got the email this morning that my order shipped.  Looking forward to getting this block in, though still waiting on the Absolute FTW3 block I ordered back on April 15, 2021.  They did send out the email about the delivery window earlier so hopefully I should be getting this in soon.
