This is a sad day for the Enthusiast Builders indeed and guess my 3090 Ti will have to last a while but from what I have heard NVIDIA has turned in to a real piece of S#!& to work with and is out trying to manipulate the video card market prices and I can see why an honest company like EVGA just couldn't associate with them any longer. Profit margins for Nvidia's add-in board partners like eVGA have been sinking for a while. So all AIB taking a dive, and only EVGA cut the GPU manufacturing. Does Nvidia want to kill all AIB partners as they are competition?

I'm done with Nvidia. I will no longer purchase Nvidia products. I just purchased a Powercolor RX6900XT Red Devil and I love it. I was going to purchase an EVGA card but turned my back on it when I heard the news. I'm done with Nvidia. I'm looking at all these EVGA cards I have in this room and am feeling sad about this whole thing but I do understand EVGAs stance on it.

I believe this is true. An insider said that Jensen wants Nvidia to be like Apple which means control everything. I think once they build up the capacity they will dump AIB's. I'll bet Andrew saw that handwriting on the wall and wanted to be the first to get out.

After just dumping $$$$ into an evga setup last month, not sure how I feel about this. Well, I expect nothing but the best software/driver/bios development ever on this platform until this card/mobo/psu can no longer render games. Considering the lovely 3080ti that I got that doesn't break 65c in benchmarking or gaming, this will be a very long time. Really hope this is just a change for the better.

I am a bit surprised but when I learned a bit more of the details, I'm kinda glad that EVGA did that. I do not think I will ever buy anything NVIDIA ever again (except maybe EVGA 30 series cards) and really hope that EVGA continues their insanely awesome customer service and ideally start making GPUs in the future somehow. Could be AMD, or Intel or maybe a secret new company or maybe they have a core design themselves! That would be awesome! In any way I will support EVGA for sure!

Well, that's the major suckage, for sure.
My first scratch built PC was built back in 2007 to play the original Crysis, with an EVGA 680i mobo, and a pair of 8800 GTS cards running in SLI. I've never used any other brand of GPU, and only once have I gone with a different brand of MOBO.
The most recent build is a Z590 FTW with a 3090 FTW Ultra. I've never used their PSUs (I've been happy with Thermaltake there, and saw no reason to change...) or other peripherals, however.
It will be interesting to see how things shake out. I'd hate to have to find a new mobo vendor. Asus and MSI both suck when it comes to customer service. I'm not sure if anyone else out there comes close to EVGA in that regard.

Very sad day. I use almost exclusively EVGA GPUs for Compute. Their GPUs always appeared to be better engineered and better built than others and unlike the others even their cost-optimized models had the quality and robustness needed for 24x7x365 operations. I know this must have been an extremely difficult decision for management but I do want to express my thanks to the engineers that brought to life these fine products. As there were a couple of additional GPUs I need this year I've picked up 2 B-stock 3080 XC Ultras while there's still stock. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

What are we supposed to buy now? Gigabyte? Asus? Msi? I bought my graphics card from evga because of their great customer service and quality of the product. Guess AMD it is. Sorry to see EVGA go. Good luck to all the employees for their future endeavors.

Hoping that EVGA will consider partnering with AMD for video cards in the future. I know their current stance now is they have no plans but it really concerns me how EVGA will do a as a company without GPU sales. I have been an EVGA customer for the better part of 20 years now and will continue to be. I have no loyalty to NVIDIA, if EVGA ever offers AMD cards I will be buying them!

Same here, I have been a loyal EVGA customer for years and love the quality of their products. If they do actually go through with dropping the production of cards in the future where do you think Kingpin will end up going? Galax?

- EVGA will not carry the next generation graphics cards.
Good. Nvidia let everyone down with the distribution of 30-series cards. Don't let that happen with the 40-series.
- EVGA will continue to support the existing current generation products.
Good. Your excellent support is why I'm a customer.
- EVGA will continue to provide the current generation products.
Good. EVGA can provide top-tier support on the 30-series, pricing below 40-series, and sell off ALL THE CHIPS NVIDIA ORDERED AND HOARDED. This is good for Nvidia, EVGA, and gamers. It's gonna be a hard price fight for AMD and Intel to counter the remaining 30-series stock in 2023. If this strategy works out, EVGA just saved Nvidia's corporate butt.

2 months ago I purchased a 3080 12G FTW3 Hydro Copper video card and got the extended warranty. I saved for 6 months to be able to afford a brand new graphics card and the extended 10 year warranty. I'm wondering if the company will still be afloat after this fiasco. The words I want to use to described my disgust and anger will have me arrested in several countries, not to mention the US.

EVGA was the only brand of graphics cards I've purchased up until now. EVGA were the only company I put faith in for looking after me if something went wrong. I was excited to purchase the new 4090. I believe we're loosing one of, if not the best example of how to treat customers. Honor and ethics don't mean anything to the majority of people these days but If you're making this decision because of nvidia I can assume you're standing your ground for the right reasons. I'll just hope you guys come back and will always support EVGA.

It wasn't really bad soldering. It was a horrid voltage delivery design using cheap components that didn't protect the cards ftom transient voltage spikes. Which they took care of. I was one of the RMA's.
Long story short they skimped on components for a $2k video card (flagship) Which baffled me.

I think its because how NVidia does not give them time to design their pcb. I think a big tell is how long the kingpin cards take to come out. They take their time with them. Really sad that they are leaving VGA. Just E left no pun intended.

There is a saying in my country: do good to the devil; he will reward you with hell. Han probably realized that hell reward from Nvidia is coming, so before total destruction of the company they quit, which is a power move. This also means that cards from other "partners" will be total crap, because they will have to save as much as possible on quality to avoid big financial losses, so I will wait after detailed reviews and hardware evaluations before buying. FE will be probably ok, but not sold in my country.

Man I just want to add my disappointment here as well. I always favored EVGA cards and felt confident due to their excellent customer support. I had already made up my mind not to purchase any 40 series cards due to their massive size and power requirements as my main use is for Octane Network rendering and I’m not ready to go full blown water cooling just yet. I bought several GPU’s last year during the “dark times” and only got an ASUS 3090 because nothing was moving in the EVGA queue and I stopped into Microcenter (for a $2 cable) at just the right time when one was available and so I snatched it. But I did eventually get from the queue two 3080 Ti Hybrids and really appreciate the system they put in place - while it took a while it allowed us to purchase cards at their regular obscene price as opposed the the horribly obscene mark ups from other outlets.
The uncertainty with warranties moving forward may certainly be an issue but I will continue to be a loyal EVGA customer if they are still around when I need a new PSU.
BTW - will there be a queue for the going out of business sale?

I don't have a lot of strong feelings about companies, but EVGA is an exception. I've been a loyal customer since my 8800 GTS and I'm truly disappointed to hear this news. I tell anyone who's building to use EVGA parts because they're solid gear and the customer service is unrivaled. If you guys return to the card market, I'll be here.

EVGA, This move saddens me, as for me, EVGA is the company to go to for my hardware needs. I do understand why this had to come to dropping this partnership. I hope NVIDIA feels this deep in their pockets and changes their ways of doing business. That being said I hope EVGA will pick up another video partner and continue to sell great video cards in the future. EVGA is the only reason I haven't tried AMD based cards. EVGA has traditionally been second to none in their innovations and world class support.
