Guru3D is correct the list the launch price as "The Nvidia TitanXp also has a faster GPU boost clock coming from 1,531MHz towards 1,582MHz. The price for the new card is 1,349 euro."
As the site is based in Europe, the chart also uses the Euro.

So the 1080ti is $699 Euros and the Titan X is $1200 Euros according to them...

According to them: "The price for the new card is 1,349 euro." I mean...the text is right there  to quibble at.

And someone just asked here maybe a  week ago if they should sell Their Titan X, or that was XP, not sure but 1 of them for 1080Ti....I was  and said  why, so in a  month or two something new will show up and you be disappointed, you can never win
Unless you stick to your guns and keep what you have and be happy for at least 2-3 years they will play you like a puppet and you will keep on loosing $ but most of all your nerves

how the hell can you call anyone stupid for spending the way they want to?  it's not your money moron, worry about what you can afford. i got plenty to spend and now the 2 980ti's  hybrid will go in the grave yard unless i find someone here in denver that can use them for a good cause in other words free.

I think you're being a bit over dramatic here.  We're talking about a 10xx series chip fully enabled that was just released.

This is a new card but it is still Pascal so maybe EVGA should change the forum names from 10xx and 9xx etc to the architecture... Pascal, Maxwell, etc... That should eliminate all this confusion since "Titan" means nothing anymore.

Can we all agree to call this the Titan XFp (Full Pascal) since nvidia didnt distinguish between titan xm and titan xp until users did it themselves, and now that it is always referred to as titan Xp as the original titan Xp.. i think it would just annoy nvidia to see they still dont know how to name things.

Re: Nvidia does it again 2017/04/06 10:52:25 (permalink)
That was predicted.
First really interesting hardware with NVIDIA GP102 Graphic processor.
Named NVIDIA GeForce TITAN Xp 3840 CUDA Cores.
That mean this beast no break... only gas pedal.
This is hardware I like, if someone payed 1200$ for crippled card than why not.
For us will stay hope that AMD will drop price of this card.
I was ready to pay 900 euro Max for this. I can't find more and that's more than I plan.
If not I will need to satisfied with 1080Ti. How much CUDA cores have GTX1080Ti...?
Probably almost 400 CUDA less, and slower memory bandwidth.

If someone want really nice gaming setup should spend 1500$ for this beast and EKWB package for watercooling.
And easy to wait Intel X299.

But for same money could be payed GTX1080 SLI and EKWB waterblock for both cards.

New Titan Xp 7 per cent faster than FE, FTW3 should close that Gap 2017/04/06 10:52:50 (permalink)
So Nvidia announced their new monster, a refresh of last years GTX Titan X (Pascal) - Dubbed the Titan Xp - without the GTX. Yeah nice naming conventions there lol.

It's said to be about 10% faster than the previous Titan X, and 7% percent faster than the 1080 Ti.

I'm sure highend overclocked AIB 1080 Ti models will still match it's performance though, especially with the overclocking headroom available with power delivery, custom loops, enhance air cooling, custom PCB etc. Waiting on FTW3 reviews and comparisons.

So yeah - another 500 dollars for what then? :D

It goes by the name of what EVGA sells. EVGA does not sell Titan XP(v1) or Titan Xp (v2) currently, so it would make sense for it to be in Computer Industry News. Labeling a forum Maxwell only would mean the 750ti, which was the first maxwell, wouldnt fit properly, since it was a 700 series card.

Looks like nvidia has their facts correct, since they sell the gpu.

I love my Ti's. $1200 is too much for any gpu in my eyes. It is funny that nvidia is doing this just out of what seems like spite.

Hard core gamers and rich enthusiasts wait this from first day when NVIDIA present Pascal.
Problem is only because you never know what they plan to launch.
Ahhhhh.... great hardware. NVIDIA somehow know what people like and when you look their package you can't resist if you have money.
Only box when you check and you are finished... I have such desire to keep sealed TITAN Xp in hands all day and to observe every detail and font from box... I would open box 6 hours, easy... easy...little by little.

That awkward moment after someone says "fact checking is important" and someone else quotes the same article that is still wrong... lol

Fact checking is important, and guru3D needs an update.

Or that awkward moment when "fact checking is important" is claimed as a quote made in this thread and....it wasn't.

Lets stop beating this dead horse please...

https://forums.evga.com/FindPost/2644024 :since it is in this thread.. I would look at the bottom, since you say it wasn't :-p

Looks like nvidia has their facts correct, since they sell the gpu.

Truly epic trolling by Nvidia. Well done I say. You just have to laugh at this point and the butt hurt Ti owners is comical. They are in a frenzy right now on various forums.

I love my Ti's. $1200 is too much for any gpu in my eyes. It is funny that nvidia is doing this just out of what seems like spite.

Weird, how you managed to get my edit back in the post. How did you manage that?  That was removed on purpose just a few seconds after making the post.

Wow, that's pretty terrible performance improvement for a $500 upgrade. Especially since it comes with a terrible FE cooler.

Unless they've made other changes, the EVGA 1080 Ti AIO should fit the same.
