I just installed the new drivers and played a quick round of Nelson Bay Conquest on a 32 player server.

GPU usage is MUCH better and I noticed a lot less stutter, if any at all.

I usually play at 32xCSAA, 16x AF, everything on High, no V-sync.  About half way through the round I enabled HBAO (I usually play with it off).

I never install leaked drivers, I'll try a beta driver from time to time, but this is promising!  I might have to try these out until the beta is available from Nvidia.

I didn't have the stutter you guys where having, but I gotta say this driver seems to be a bit smoother then before on BFBC2 with the Q9650 SLi GTX 465 setup I tried them on. Even with vsync enabled I was hitting 88% gpu usage at times.

Awesome news woot! I wonder if this will help stutter people have been having in more than BC2, because it seems like it addresses a general issue in the drivers itself, so should help performace across board, cant wait till 32bit version leaked.
Will try it myself to see if smoother,  even though its pretty smooth right now in games I play =)
I dont have BC2, hey DNOTTIS is it smoother no matter what multicore option you select in the driver settings? =)

then you must have had the stutter and never payed close attention to it.

Trust me, he had the stutter he will just never admit to it. There is nothing special about his hardware that excluded him from the stutter that everyone else was experiencing.

At any rate im just glad the issue has been resolved so I can finally go back to the GTX 480.

I'm curious how many people will now notice how much smoother BF BC2 plays.   I meant to say people who claimed to not have it before.

Please don't state something like that as fact.  It's simply not true.  I know what micro stutter or any other sort of stutter is like and my 2 x 470s do not have this issue.  I understand your frustration with this problem and I sympathize with any of you that have experienced stutter with 400 series cards.  However, stating that "everyone" has it, is just not the truth.

I'm glad that these drivers are fixing this issue for you guys.  Believe me, I lived through it with the older Nvidia cards.

While I agree not everyone reported seeing it.  I have a feeling more people will notice how much smoother these drivers are vs. past ones.   I think more people had it than would either admit or than noticed it.   Even nVidia dup'd it on multiple rigs.

Isn't that the reason for driver updates? BFBC2 played great for me before this driver on both my GTX 400 series systems, no stutters for me.

BTW: I have had this game since before I could get my hands on EVGA's GTX 480 HC FTW card. The first thing I noticed was how smooth the game played and how much more rich the graphics look with the GTX 480 over the GTX 295 I had.

i just tried these drivers out.  they did not fix the stutter.  they fixed nothing.  i tried all the dynamic tiling options.

i have only tried them in sli mode with nv surround.  they are playing like previous drivers.

what a COMPLETE WASTE OF MY TIME WAITING 30 DAYS ON HOPE AND NOTHING BUT BS FROM NVIDIA!

i think you guys are experiencing a placebo effect.  these drivers did absolutely nothing for BC2 or crysis.  stutters are still there as always.

this is my last straw.  i have had enough with nvidia.  returning my gpu's back to the store and going with ATI.  and saying good riddance.

No placebo effect here.  Why don't you try with one GPU with one monitor and see.  Then enable SLI and see.  With a single GPU the stutter is gone, game runs amazing.  I've been dealing with this since April do you really think its a placebo effect for those of use dealing with this forever and using ATI cards because it was so bad?  Umm.  No.

Do a clean install or don't complain.

complaining by people who only do constant upgrade installs is invalidated.

That said, the stutter was more experienced by single card users, YOU are probably experiencing standard micro stutter.  Your own fault for going multi-gpu.

I have zero facts? lol yeah right......lets just take a long hard look around at all the threads on this exact issue over at various other forums and see how many people are reporting it. Also the fact that Nvidia worked so hard to resolve this issue is enough FACT for anyone that it existed as a wide spread problem and not just for a small select group of people.

Your truly halarious and sad at the same time for being to proud and arrogant to admit that you had the same problems. Oh well, none the less the issue is fixed so carry on kramie boy.
