PG has had this happen many times in the past. Go to stock and lose on every other non-flamethrower WU. PG doesn't care about your hardware. Sad but true.
It's what I did AGAIN.
Fold on...

I tend to agree on this. Its like they frown upon folks that can crank out work units in an hour. It seems there is more to the scoring than we see.

I just got a couple 7622's, looks like that's the end of them, at least for a while.

Nope, I got some regular wu's but the 803X's are back and wreaking havoc on my new overclock.

I've had a few 80xx hang at 0%. I stop/start the clients and everything seems fine. Anyone else have this problem?  I lost a lot of PPD overnight and while at work today.

Yes, I've had that happen twice now, losing out on a whole night of points. Apparently they are temperature sensitive so if you had an overclock just barely stable enough to fold before, the 803X wus will cause you GPU to become unstable

If you want to get these WU's, you'll have to remove the -advmethods flag.
Update thread Folding Forum: Project 8031,32 and 33 have been moved to FAH now.

I still get only P803x WU's, no regular P680x WU's yet, without the -advmethods flag.

thats good to know, I think I will stick with the P803x units though, they maybe generate lots of heat but the PPD boost is worth it enough for me to take out one of my cards which will save a little on the power bill.

Is anybody else getting these on their 450's?My 450 drops to 3k to 4k ppd on the wu's. But my GTX560M in my laptop still cranks them out at 8500ppd. What are you getting on the 450's?

Well most recent 803X wus finished and uploaded sometime before the 3am EOC folding stats slot, but then each of the cores failed 3 times in a row and shut down into sleep mode..... Just gotta lower the overclock even more I guess.

Why would these wus be able to finish and upload, but then fail to start so easily?

I didn't have time to mess with the machine last night. I'll have to look at it tonight. I'm running the 450 @ 900 core. and the temp is only like 68c. So I don't know what the deal is. Only thing I can think of is that maybe the CPU doesn't have enough free space with SMP also going to keep everything happy. I'll oneunit the SMP and see if the points go up any.

I just had an 8033 WU but it failed at 90% on my GTX 580 960 O.C. Seems to be to unstable for my OC, all the other WU's work fine got seems the when I get the 8030's they go unstable.

Just got another one putting my card back to stock settings and seeing if I can complete this one. Plus the temp was up to 87c with the OC little to high for me.

On my GTX 550Ti I am getting 11k on the 8033 wu's

Manually OC'd cards are fouling (either heat or corruption).
De-Tuning the card back to bios defaults makes them pass.
I think I'm seeing a connection here.
My 460's already factory OC'd from EVGA to 975, but after pushing just 5 more MHz on all clocks it fouls, but everything else is quite stable. Voltage bump didnt seem to help.

Im not at home, its probably 925. Ill screenshot it when I get home.
<Edit>
Also it seems that they've pulled the 803x WU's from the GPU2 queue. I havent gotten one in 20hrs.
It also appears they've shortened the GPU2 deadlines to 30-32 hrs. My 250's chewing them up in 3, but thats just nutty.
The P4-Dualcore is still chewing at the 10134 WU with an ETA of 6hrs before deadline. That's still cutting it close.

If you have that card OCed to 975 or even 925 that's one nice card.
about 870 is about all I can get out of my 460's, What voltage is your card running at?

And yes, I got the gimp'd memory bus version.

Thanks,
I have been getting up to 825 with no increase in voltage. .987
but the lower card is about 10 degrees hotter.

Anyone having problems grabbing new wus on their gpu after the new drivers were released?  Try going back to the 285 drivers. I did last night and the wus are back to normal.

widsss
Anyone having problems grabbing new wus on their gpu after the new drivers were released?  Try going back to the 285 drivers. I did last night and the wus are back to normal.

Same, except I went with the 290.53 driver

Check your log and make sure they're not being flagged as "unstable" with the new driver. I am considering rolling my 250 back to 275.xx where the crashy lockups didnt happen. The 460's still going.

No, they're not being flagged as unstable with 290.53 at least. I'm overclocked to 830 with no change in voltage an they're running fine, I beat my record by 7k points yesterday and I had even turned my clients off for a few hours at one point.

I am running 290.53. To date these drivers have been very stable and perform well on my system.
