Just checked and have 3 of them on the kids rig. Getting 8500ppd on the 450's in it. Nice little boost

I have not folded in a while but wanted to give this new project a try. So far I'm seeing 29.6K PPD with this project.

I didn't get one yet either, both of my GTX 570's are doing Project 680x units at just under 15K

I have adv methods turned off because of those units in the past that were overheating my cards. Does anyone know if adv methods still has them? if they don't I will enable it again.

I'm pretty sure these WUs are only for advmethods. Looks promising!
What card is that LR? GTX 580, I presume... Almost 30K, not bad at all!

It is a 580 Classified Ultra overclocked to 1 GHz. The highest PPD I have seen with my other 580s prior to this was near 21K. This is a pretty large jump in points over that and on par with what I used to get running bigadv on my overclocked 920.  The temps are fairly high though. I am seeing 79-80C currently where generally the card runs at or below 72C with most other programs.

my cards were at stock and still overheated, I use to run them on my GTX 470 and GTX 460 and the temp shot up to 100c and 90c on them, I won't even try it on my 570 cards....

and yes my cases do have good airflow and dust filters.

I like the 7k point bump on each of my 580s, but the 10 degree bump in temperatures is a bit of a problem.

    ~25k PPD? That is a nice increase for the 580s, I usually get 18-19k @ 875.

I will either find a way, or make one.

Haven't tried -advmethod- in a long while because of the heat build up.  So I decided to give it a try.  First project is a 8033 WU.  My GTX470 is pulling 3k more than its usual with these WU's.  Before it would average 12K PPD, now its 15k PPD.  Heat build-up is still the same, running in the low-mid 90's with the fan speed cranked to max.

I'm running a P8033 on my GTX 460 1 GB @ 810/2000 MHz (at 0.975v ), getting 14,191 PPD. The advmethods WUs do run hotter, but the trade-off is a lesser hit on the CPU.

    Running my 470's @ 750/1500/1700
Getting average 18500 ppd now - seem to of picked up some 8032's now as well at this ppd
But even though im under water they are still running a lot hotter.
    5-10 Deg hotter.
    Worth it though.
Thinking of dropping the OC to get 18k to keep the temp down a bit.

    2-3min/% definetly worth it

Getting almost 16k on my 470's rather than about 12k, definately nice. However, running in the 90's instead of the 80's, no wonder I was so hot last night

both my GTX 570's just got 8033 units and I don't have advmethods enabled

both are doing between 18 - 19K on them

it caused one of my cards to overheat too cause the fan keeps ramping up

86C on my GTX 570 in my 2500K rig and 96C on my GTX 570 in my i7 920 system (since the 460 is under it).

I might have to take out my GTX 460 if these units continue...

yea no kidding LOL I entered 45 - 50K on the contest and now I'm currently doing 65K

edit: wow my GTX 460 just picked up one, that card will take 9 hours to complete one of these units , my GTX 570's will take a little over 4 hours.

this is not worth the extra heat, and higher fan speed, and ETA to complete the units, I'm taking my GTX 460 out now

I had advmethods off on all 3 of my GPU's, I still get them

anyway got my GTX 460 out, both my GTX 570's run in the Mid 80's at default fan speed with these units now.

since I gained about 4K on both my GTX 570's with the 8033's it was worth it to take the 460 out anyway, my PPD is back to about what I entered at the contest.

Very strange... the temps look at least 10-degrees higher with these WUs, but I don't feel that much heat coming off my rigs?
