F@h has never supported overclocking officially, and problems caused by overclocking whether from the factory or by the user need to be handled by them.  That may include taking off or reducing a factory overclock to get a GPU to be folding stable.  nVidia has established clock speeds for their different GPU chips, binning by manufacturers may allow higher speeds.  But the GPU's at those higher speeds are only warranted to be game stable, not necessarily data crunching stable.
The same applies to overclocking CPU's and overclocking them.
As for getting Core 22 projects, they have been returned to Beta while they examine the work logs to see if there is a pattern to the failures.  They may release an updated version and put that out for testing.

These punk cores be crashing my PC randomly and cause locked screens at times as well. And this is without any overclock applied other than power limit/ temp limit. And sin some cases without any OC utility running at all. Not sure what the deal with them is but they aren't stable at all.
I'm very glad they packed them up because they were a train wreck of epic proportions. Even AVX shouldn't kill a system with proper cooling and negative offsets. That it it's a weird Driver/Windows bug they've uncovered.

Well I have three updates yesterday with only a few thousand points. I assume they were the core 22s that crashed. Killing my PPD

Sorry to see other Folders had issues ... I tried to raise the Warning Flag with My Check your Rigs thread

Biggest issue I saw was if your Rig had two or More GPU & you got a Mix of Core_21 & Core_22

Core 22?
You are also Folding on your CPU you might want to reduce the Core Count or stop Folding on the CPU.
Core 22 takes more or needs more CPU Power than what Core 21 and before needed.
What GPU and Drivers are you running?
I have not had any since I reduced the GPU and GPU Memory.
But also reduced the number of Cores to Crunch on because Core 22 needs more CPU Power.

Yeah another 6.3 million PPD day.  Only had the Folding control lock up on me yesterday.  The core where still running but Folding control was not responding.

That's right up there with (a few years ago now) us: how many cores does the [link=mailto:f@home]f@home[/link] client suport? them: nobody really knows.  Seriously? It's your software you *should* know or at least have an idear how it works

Do you need to have advanced set to get the core 22 WU, until released from Beta?

You Need to use beta to get Core 22 WU.
No issues on the last 23 WU over the last few days.

Are you overclocking your GPU?
Which GPU?
What Driver?

I am running Driver 390.65 under Windows 10 1709.

I do not think that the Client Version makes any difference.
I would reduce the GPU with -10 and if you get another bad WU another -10.

They were saying not to overclock the hardware 10 years ago.
Like I said before, somethings never change.

You can also remove the beta flag and use no flag at all (I'm not using a flag since a few months) to get the regular Core 21 WU's and hope Stanford will release a more stable (less stressful for the GPU) Core 22 in the future.
