Re: Are core 22 beta's gone?

Probably, but just temporarily.

Development is fixing a (few?) bug(s) and there I expect a revision may be being prepaired. Another possiblity is that all of the WUs are currently assigned to someone. (There are limited numbers of WUs available for beta testing)

I found this info in a couple of places on FAH forums

Nope, most have the issue the other way around Core 22 Failing and Core 21 Running Fine.
Core 21 seems to take Overclocking better that what Core 22 can do.

They are more trouble prone when they "mix" between the two versions of Core on the same PC

And here I was hoping to actually finish my month out with the Core 22 WUs. Just needed another 2-3 days. Oh well back to slow hot work units.

I have been getting Core22 WU's on my 1080ti folder lately. It had been going back and forth between 21 & 22, today back to 22.

Points are nice. And an easy way to keep track of participation, but not really the point of the exercise. It all about the individual work units and overall contributions to the science and the cure.
For what it's worth I'm still seeing core 22 version .1 in my logs with the beta flag set.

Sadly for me, I just got Core 21 on Beta, about 20 minutes ago, so I'm going back to vanilla frosting, er, Folding for now.

My 2070 is still beating my 1070s like red-headed step-children for the 'bang for the buck' value, so I'm not going to complain overly much, but losing an overall of 500k ppd does kind of sting. But again, not going to complain OVERLY much.  Now, to find better cooling FOR that 2070. (Wanders off to yell at the waterblock companies)

That Estimated PPD calculation of 572k seems not correct.
When I use the FaH Bonus Point Calculator and enter the Estimated TPF of 58 seconds, then I'm getting a PPD of 1,069k.

As of time of posting the server that handles Core 22 only has 802 WUs to be distributed and is set to assign just under 68 WU an hour. I think its safe to say that we depleted the server nicely.

It was the clock on the client, 2 hours ahead of UTC Dutch. Every time I boot into windows after Linux I have to reset the clock in win7. The system board (bios)always shows the correct time but win7 defaults to Pacific time. I fix that right away now that I’m used to it. Then started the client but did not notice the client time being off. At about 65% the wu froze and even my BOINC tasks froze. Lost all of them.

Well they just had 3 new sets of Beta core 21 projects released so we are going to get a mixture of both for a while.  This is from the guy in charge of core 22

I see people wondering if core22 has disappeared from beta - no, there's just another project in beta too right now (viewtopic.php?f=66&t=31525), so you're getting a mix of core21 and core22 until that one moves to advanced.

Beta Core 21 Really Dumb Sucks they Mixed Cores
Project 14173 (GPU, OpenMM21) to BETA is a 3.5 (RTX) to 4.5 (GTX) Hours WU.
They are creating WU that are taking to much time to complete, it would be best to keep them under 2 hours IMO.

Beta has been a slow & painful experience lately with some serious issues

- some massive WU & with Poor points awarded after 3 to 4 hours with 2080Ti & Titan XP ?

Several crashes on my 1080 Ti GPUs

looks like x22 are Done .... & the New Beta WU are not rewarding enough for their Long & Slooooow runs

I turned Beta Off & my Points increased
