No other manufacturer, that I know of, is doing this. AFAIK, Zotac also has a list that behaves as a “notify only”, so even the closest to what EVGA is doing is not coming close to it other than saying “hey, we got stock, but by the time you got here, we sold them all!” And blows a raspberry at you.

If any other manufacturer does this; meaning maintain a queue and actually hold the item for a period of time* until you buy it, pretty much everyone here would be getting on those queues as well. After all, what the manufacturer doing is helping their margins by selling their surplus (after their contractual obligations are fulfilled) without the middlemen’s commission.

* And I do believe that 8 hours is too short of a period that may cause some to miss it, but it’s their (EVGA’s) house, their rules, if I don’t like it, the best thing I can do is not to let the door hit me on my way out.

Agreed 8 hours is too short, I lost out on mine as I mentioned in previous posts cause I was stuck working a double and didn't get home until hours after the time had past. At this point with a dying 980ti I'm just opting to buy any brand I can get my hands on, though I've had only EVGA since the 9800 GX2 SSC.

980ti Classified... borked so running a GTX280 for now...

Many, many folks have missed the eight hour window.  Folks that have pursued the following steps within a reasonable period of time after the "invite to purchase" email was sent (let's say within the next 48 or 72 hours or so) have received relief from EVGA customer service and were able to complete the purchase of the applicable card.  For folks in that predicament, this is my recommendation:

     (1) reply to the email (it should have come from ordernotify@evga.com) and indicate your desire to purchase the card.
     (2) call EVGA customer service during their working hours (9 to 6 am Weekdays (excluding EVGA holidays)): 1.888.881.EVGA (3842)
     (3) they should be able to locate your reply, confirm that the queue has reached your registration and reissue you a new email with a new link to purchase your card.  It might take a day or so for them to confirm on-hand inventory and issue the replacement email.

Please be vigilant about checking your in-box, whitelist ordernotify@evga.com with your preferred email client.  Hopefully, by following these enumerated steps EVGA Customer Service will get you sorted.

Best of luck!

Have been out of town for over 8 days. Before I left I checked the last time 24G-P5-3987-KR had any movement, and it was on 10/12/2020 18:51:55 .  Did we really get that much movement in a little over a week? sorry for being so skeptical but I saw almost no movement since February 11th.  My Que for the 3987 is 10/16/2020 4:51:07 PM... i think im going to live on my email for the next week or so thanks everyone

So I assume you won't be buying any nvidia or amd GPUs in the future at all given the global shortage?

What's the advice for people like me who signed up for one card (foolishly thinking that I'd only sign up for one to keep from clogging the system) only to realize that EVGA seems to have discontinued that card? If I'm reading the sheet correctly, EGVA has not manufactured and sold a single RTX 3080 XC3 Gaming since the waiting list began just under 6 months ago. Has EVGA addressed this verifiable fact yet? I guess I should have chosen a card with a slightly higher profit margin :(

Any hopefully informed guesses as to whether the 3060 queues will move faster than the 3060TI and 3070 queues.

The 3080 and 3090 queues seem to move faster, presumably because fewer people can afford them.

Take your time, watch guides and leak test outside the case if possible. Oh and buy extras to save time and headaches. Things like fittings, orings, etc

Sign up for the 3080 ti if it comes out in April. Also try to snag a HC card when they become available again whenever.

As far as my custom loop build,
I have an Asus Crosshair VIII Formula with a built in VRM cooling block
AMD Ryzen 5800x
Lian li o11d XL with currently 3 ML120 pro fans on bottom and corsair 150i aio on top with its own fans
To be EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra HC
Edit- I will probably have to add Cpu/vrm to loop later on so what is minimum for just gpu loop using bottom mount for rad and possibly have 3 side intake fans with pump/res mounted there

I was looking at Optimus Foundation Cpu block all black nickel finish cold plate
Hardware labs gtr 360mm rad bottom and possible top if I can fit it lol
Would like push pull on them to allow lower rpm operation but might get smaller rad on top due to space constraints

If you are using hard tube, then it would be easier to plan everything at once if possible.  I am thinking out a system for me as well.  Mines would involve at CPU block, GPU block, two 360mm rads, one pump, custom hard tubing lines and fittings.  If you was to add the water block for the CPU and another rad to the system you are initially planning it would add around 250-300 for just those two parts.  Then add in the tubing and fittings which would be dependent of if  you going hard tube or soft tube.  Soft tube would be easier to do and you can add or remove stuff easily plus it's a lot cheaper.  Some people wouldn't mind the soft tubes for me which is why if I'm going to go open loop I would want hard tubes and because of that I have to plan everything from the start.  You could do a loop with just the bottom, but then you better think about what you will need to do as far as routing if you go with hard tubing and then how to  add the CPU/VRMs later on.

I'm getting the same case as you.  My plans for placement of my rads would be push/pull rad on the side set up to intake air into the case to cool the CPU and VRMS (if i bought the formula) and then the other rad on the top for the GPU with the fans setup in push/pull to exhaust air from the case.  Line and order are dependent on how you want to run your lines and what you use.  Either way, I am planning on getting at the very least a Kingpin which comes with a 360mm rad already and I'm running a 360mm AIO for the CPU.  This is why I have to migrate from the Lancool Mesh 2 into the O11XL to allow me to run the two 360mm rads.  The bottom fans I would set to intake cool air and I would run a exhaust fan on the rear.  This is the setup I would run, but to each their own and it's to the user to figure out what's best for them within the budget and their plans.

Since you already have the Formula, you can easily add the cooling line to the VRMS at the time of the initial build especially if you going soft tube.  One word of advice would be to plan a drain line/valve that you can add a cap to.  That way if and when the time comes to drain the system you will be able to do that easily.  Adding a cap to the valve allows you to have a secondary piece in case the valve is slightly open or leaking which is shouldn't do.  Just  make sure the drain valve is as low as possible when you plan out your routing and layout.

First thing you need to do figure out your budget and what you feel comfortable doing.  Then you do a lot of homework and research to find what you want to do if you don't have anyone around you to help you out.

Good luck bro.

This.

I basically held off building a system thinking by this time the initial rush would settle down and I could get a 3080. Finally, several weeks ago, I surrendered and purchased a prebuilt system (MSI) for the first time in my life. Good cpu, ok memory and a 2080 super GPU, at a somewhat decent price.

Having gotten on the waitlist at around the same time (mid February), I am under no illusions that I’d get a card anywhere close to late summer, and I honestly think if the rumored 3080Ti is announced soon, I may actually have a better chance of getting on that waitlist at a higher position this time.

I might do cpu at same time as GPU if it doesn't cost too much more, also plan on using soft tubing due to my goal with my pc, which is function over form lol I have 0 rgb fans
Preferred fan is Corsair Ml120 pro non rgb fans

My thought was having fat rad double fans on bottom, mid size rad on top either push only or double if enough space
And side will be just intake fans for fresh cool air
I can't seem to find any Hardware labs rads anywhere cept some white ones, which I am not interested in lol, what are some great equivalent to the Nemesis GTR 360?

I'm definitely going to upgrade my CPU at some point this year.  I have a 3900x, want to move to 5900x or whatever iteration comes at the end of the year if it's still the same mobo socket.  All rational thought says wait for that iteration, because even if it's only 2% gains, it's the best I'll get out of my current mobo.  But I am always trying to buy when I see the 5900 go up, only to have it sold out before I clear my cart.

I think at this point it's become somewhat of an obsession.  Buy it if you can.  I did land a series X in January, and really didn't need it.  But it is so much quieter than the One X.  At this point, I know the KPE or 3090 hybrid will show up as a notify in the next few months.  Probably both, just not sure which first.  I like the 3060s because of the RAM on board, might be that the 57 shows up before either of the 90s.  That's ok too.

Keep asking questions cap, I'm appreciating the feedback from Gotspeed.

The 5800X is available almost daily, I was looking at the 5900X but got tired of waiting and don't really need the cores and single CCX is better for gaming anyways.
I went from a 3700X to a 5800X. I have it 4.85ghz SMT off 1.275v on a Evga CLC 240mm with Cooler Master ARGB MF120R push fans and Artic P12 Pull fans. Its 35-40C at Idle, 60C most loads up to 70C on cineabench. So the overheating is from boosting and a manual OC corrects the possible issue.

5800X 4.75ghz 1.25v, 3090 Kingpin, 32GB Trident Z Bdie 3800Mhz, Superflower 1000w Platinum, Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1 TB,  970 Evo Plus 2TB
3600/3080 FTW3, 32GB Balistix 3600, Superflower 850W Platinum, MP600 500GB

For sure, the 5800x has been available for days at amd.com now.  If your only passion is gaming, that's the CPU to get.

This wating list was a publicity stunt from the start. No reason to get evga over other brand. Only evga fan boys in denial will keep wating for over 6 months lmao. On top of their denial they will also defend evga for having imaginary card versions that will never come out. They should cancel them lol

I deny NOTHING. I feel your frustration, as I am in the queue with 18 (that's right, EIGHTEEN) products I signed up for, several on launch day, and every single one of them still says "no". It's frustrating, but what is it you're saying that I'm denying? This queue is in addition to other efforts I am making to purchase hardware that is very much instantly sold everywhere within seconds of a restock.

Why am I an EVGA fanboy? Why are others fanboys/girls like me? Because EVGA is at least trying. Sure, it might be a publicity winner, but for the folks that have successfully purchased their cards from the queue (and there have been many!) this little "stunt" as you call it, has given them a very tangible benefit of being able to now own a card, at a significantly lower price than where they'd be able to buy it literally anywhere else.

So, honest question - WHAT are we in denial about? We all know waiting sucks. We all know the market is rough on everyone right now. I'm trying to find justification and rational for your criticisms here, but I can find none, by any stretch. You have every right to be frustrated with the situation like all of us that are here. None of us deny that. We just appreciate that EVGA is doing something, whether small or large, vs. other manufacturers that are literally doing nothing except raising prices so they can take advantage of current market conditions to make more profit.

In that regard, EVGA deserves fans. They have resisted price increases the longest, and increased their prices the least amounts. Feel free to buy another brand. I wish you luck!

I believe nvidia when they say they are doing good for gamers when they put limiter in bios to prevent mining thats pretty altruistic of them. In the same way I believe ppl when they say queue is doing good, yeah just like I believe nvidia.
