Who thinks a 3080 ti is actually coming to market? Do you think EVGA will have one?

I'm going to try reverse psychology this week.. I really hope there are no 3888 drops..

I think certainly a 3080 Ti will eventually come to market. The real question is WHEN it will be announced. And I'm sure EVGA will have one. Not sure why they wouldn't :)

And in that case, we should say we're hoping for NO drops this week across ANY of the cards, but then we'd only have ourselves to blame when we get exactly what we asked for

I'm double tapping that this week will be a good one.  I will not get a notify this week, but it will bring me closer.  For those who do get a notify, my hat is tipped to you.

This may be a really bad week.  If cards came in from China on a boat they sailed on Feb 27 1 day after Lunar Holiday's trip is 15 days or March 14/15. This week should be slow next week should be good.. March 15 to April 15 then price jump... It will be interesting to see what the 3/15 to 4/15 time slot does.
 
I have been posting here for a few months I guess December 2020 not much has shipped. I had a few good cards time wise gain hardly anything since December.

I hear what you're saying.  I'm guessing that the docks were backlogged.  That it takes EVGA a couple of weeks to turn over inventory they receive.  Triple tap.  This will be a good week.

With the rumors of the 3080 TI coming, soonish, I'll probably have a better chance at one of them based on my positions in the current queue.  But the also rumored price is pushing me out of the market I really don't want to drop down to a 3070 or worse a 3060.  As a content creator I need the power the 3080 can deliver.  I hope that I can get one very soon as the other parts for my new rig are coming in. But I am not holding my breath and I absolutely refuse to pay scalpers and their bots.

So what was the price according to the rumors? And isn't a Ti like maybe 10-15% faster than a FTW3 Ultra usually?

I can always tell the sodium level of the forum by how many pages were added since my last visit.  It's doing pretty good from what I see, to much salt isn't good for the health :).
 
When I bought my 1080 many many moons ago, I barely had it in my computer, when I saw the announcements for the 1080ti.  I was really annoyed on that one.  It would be just my luck that the 3080ti would drop, be just as fast as the 3090, and cost $400 less.

Anyone has ANY idea if we are at least catching up to the demand of the GPU's; 3080 FTW3 in particular? I am not one to be entitled yet have to say that this wait has been BRUTAL! 3080 TI is around the corner and i have no high hopes for that laungh either regardless of what Nvidia wants us to believe unfortunately :(
 

I'm hoping to get my 3080 in time just so I can get on the Step Up queue. I think the 3080 itself will keep me happy until the 3080 Ti comes out.

Whatever a 3090 does now on Ebay and then + 15-20% for the "tariffs". By years end? 
once many more wake up and realize the lockdowns (Remember March 2020? "Oh,its just two weeks to flatten the curve...." They keep moving the goalposts...) are not going away ? Much more $$$ then as the law of unintended consequences continues to hammer us all. Save up as much as you can now,or consider a different hobby possibly? Either way,$ave as much as you can so you can pounce on any deals that arise. Good luck
