Last night I contacted TigerDirect for a refund, my argument was that they sent a different product than the advertised, but they keep on saying that I have to pay both the return and a 25% restocking fee 

Wow that's shocking. They send you out an incorrect product (or falsely advertised in this case), and then refuse to make good? That's illegal as far as I'm aware - just check the small print on their site to see if it mentions any kind of disclaimer.. also, get a copy of that page before they change it. Contact TD and demand to speak to someone higher up their food chain, and tell them what happened - better yet, look up their corporate HQ and contact someone there - anyone in sales is probably trained to say "no" regardless of the situation. Personally I'd stop payment on the credit card. They should send you out a prepaid UPS shipping label and refund you all your money if they sent out an incorrectly advertised product. Heck, threaten legal action - you would win this in small claims court, providing they did not post some kind of disclaimer.

Nereus Wow that's shocking...

I just called them again a few minutes ago and seems like they've got the point, have already e-mailed me a prepaid form for the return, and there will be no restocking fee "as long as I return the card on its original package".

 

I wonder if you can just solder in the evbot connector and call it good. I know you would void your warranty if you do this.

Yes it is possible, but at least I haven't find a place where to buy the connector.

Pff!, I just returned a 680 Classy because I couldn't find that little piece; anyways I payed the "full" price, and now they are cheaper.

Go for it if you want a fully featured 680 Classy, paired with an EVBot it has no rivals.

does that look like the right connection to you. Just want to confirm before spending the dough :)

/facedesk... Just buy 2-3 680FTW's and call it a day. Does anyone really, really need that much more power...? And voiding the warranty on a 500+$ card is just... So... I don't even know what to call it...

So I ordered a 680 classified 20 days ago, and I happen to notice today that the price is now $100 dollars less than what I paid .  Did EVGA decide to drop price as a result of the removal of the evbot plug?  I have already opened mine, so I doubt I can send it back.   

You can send it back if you want to take a 15% loss which is about $97 on the original price. 
 
There was no reason given why the price was dropped on all 680s. We can only assume they are dropping due to the next generation approaching.

Who cares about warranties?, these babies are made for hardcore overclocking.

If you can find a connector, just solder it on there, a kid could do it. nvidia / EVGA is not going to go through the trouble to completely re-spin a board just to take a connector off, the pads and traces are all still there, so if you can not find a proper connector just use wire, clip the end off of the EVBot and solder the wires together and throw some heat shrink on there and give it a day, trust me, I have done much, much sketchier reworks in my day. Just try to keep the wire length short and use solid wire to keep the impedance as low as possible, there should not be any high speed signals coming off of that connector though anyways, so it probably will not matter.

Now that I now own 3 680 Classified cards and now I have my EvBot will it work with at least the x79 Dark?
I should have caught this but did not.
