make your own bios and flash the card with it, and yes of course buy a evboot kontackt on ebay and solder it yourself

What we need is NiBiTor for the 6series so we can customize our own bios for the boost, voltage, fan speed ect,ect..  only setting the bios to 1.21v all three of my cards OC to 1300MHz like nothing and 1.21v from 1.75 isn't much.

If we can get someone to make a program like that, I will gladly donate to the cause.

That is NVIDIA, congratulation they successfully make Classified like other model, Lightening, DCII,...
I can solder and ASUS DirectCU II and disable voltage limit, but I don't want to do that.
First with one chip two class price different almost 350$ for same chip now this...  and I forget, I forget 100-120$ cheaper card good 5% stronger NVIDIA.
Guys now your used cards are more exspensive than new Classified.
I would pay more for used than new...
Can you imagine that someone because maybe no money immediately need to solder card or remove BIOS, I don't know to do that...
Special soldering, for me is IHS remove playing for that.
And who buy first they have better.
When series 7xx show up??? On spring, March...???
Sometimes I don't understand people who do that. Really.
But only customers can't stop this nobody else.

Yes I think it sucks that they have removed the evbot from the classified series, I'd hop that I could buy another classy and get the same performance as my current but apparently not ;/

Don't worry - be happy.
I work on a new tool like NiBiTor for GTX600-series.

But voltage mod >1.2125V is only available with EVBot.

It looks like that only the connector is missing, but the connection points are available - hardware modder should be able but a new connector to the graphic card.

Or is the functionality also removed?

so what if Jacob, EVGA accidentally  gave us voltage read points? and maybe points to attach trim pots on the vGPU and vMEM circuits? you know, just for diagnostic purposes....

Re:New 680 Classified has no EVbot plug?? 2012/10/03 07:08:40 (permalink)
So for those with the evbot connectors, is there an upper limit of volts that EVGA will still cover under warranty? I remember it was something like 1.32v for the GTX 580? Is there an official BIOS that will give us a small bump to 1.212v? I though I read that somewhere... P15?

So it follows that an EVBOT connector enabled, BIOS flashed Classy with backplate and waterblock will be a better card than the HC series.. Sounds like the jackpot combo for resale.

The EVBOT was a PiTA anyway being that the voltage changes weren't persistent. I really hope EVGA can talk NVIDIA into allowing these highly binned 680's to have a custom BIOS in the future. Call it compensation...

Currently waiting on my new 680 classy here in aus. I will report back whether it has the connector.

Classified standard maximum voltage with Precision X is 1.175V.
1.2125V is available with bios voltage mod (without EVBot).
Voltage higher than 1.2125V is only available with EVBot.

That's fine I can live with 1.21v my cards run perfect at 1280MHz all day long on water plus they bench a little over 1300MHz. I'd just like to make my own custom bios for the cards I use.
Big question is when is there going to be a working NiBiTor for GTX600-series?

From an article I read about Nvidia this is what I got.
They're not preventing EVGA from having voltage control. They're saying if they want to allow their cards to supply more voltage than what the card is spec'd for, then they don't get warranty support through NVIDIA.
That being siad EVGA doesnt have to remove the evbot plug.

"Luckily got the classies that have the port.
But my question is, for those who have classies with the port and use evbot. Are we still going to be receiving tech help and stay under warranty? "

they have already stated they will (toward the beginning of the thread). i believe jacob has answered that as a yes they will support those of us that have them. im glad i got lucky O.o. sorry for not having who said the quote....... it didnt quote it so i just copied and pasted it in here :D

does it matter? IF EVGA is being told by Nvidia we will not honor this card and you will have to eat any and all RMA's would you keep selling it ? They are Nvidia's number 1 .Sorry but it does make sense if Nvidia feels this is a bad thing to do and goes as far as telling EVGA what they did it makes sense .Im not saying to be happy about it but its done .For those who wish to go past the voltage limit set via Bios good luck i hope nothing ever happens and you need to RMA the card .

It matters to the OP because when he purchased his product EVGA did not update their website to reflect the changes to the hardware.

To the rest of us that didn't purchase it before they updated, no.

Also this just sucks since if nVidia heads this way for the future we might be limited in our OCing ways.

Re:New 680 Classified has no EVbot plug?? 2012/10/04 17:53:00 (permalink)
I just ordered the 680 Classy on Sunday afternoon - received it tonight and no Evbot plug???  Came on to the forums to discover this.  Really, really disappointed as i feel like i paid absolute top $ for the most feature-filled card but didn't get all of them.

I assume now that since demand for the classy will likely plumment, the price will go down (meaning i paid basically and "extra" premium) and it will probably be very difficult to pick up another to go SLI in the future.

Sort of soured what was supposed to be a fun purchase
