https://videocardz.com/press-release/nvidia-reinvents-computer-graphics-with-turing-architecture quite impressive Turing-based GPUs feature a new streaming multiprocessor (SM) architecture that adds an integer execution unit executing in parallel with the floating point datapath, and a new unified cache architecture with double the bandwidth of the previous generation. Combined with new graphics technologies such as variable rate shading, the Turing SM achieves unprecedented levels of performance per core. With up to 4,608 CUDA cores, Turing supports up to 16 trillion floating point operations in parallel with 16 trillion integer operations per second.

NVidia really knows how to get away with these developer GPU launches without crazy amounts of leaks at this point. Pretty impressive on their part. Like Sajin said, maybe Next week we will see some gaming news, since RTX seems to be reserved for the Quadro line. I noticed that the new Quadro is venturing off with the conventional naming scheme of the top card being 100. I wonder if they have one more card they are going to hold for a later release. Maybe the $15k variant.. Who knows.

Sajin Guess we will just have to wait until next week.
Nothing left for nVidia to announce other then the next gaming series cards, right? I wonder if the gaming GPU will be the Ampere we have heard about?

Has anyone seen this video just posted on the NVIDIA GeForce YouTube channel? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F7ElMOiAOBI&lc=z23vdbqhzvrizzsmfacdp43awz1kf4dw5nfjpvgufztw03c010c.1534213414787812It's a hype video for their announcement on August 20. But more importantly, it seems to drop clues to what the new card will be called! Look at the chat names in the video. RayTeX = RTX, not GTX Not_11 = they're not numbering it as the 11 series Mac-20 & Eight Tee = 2080 And in the very last shot of the video, look how the numbers roll up for the date of the conference; two, zero, eight, then zero. All those together and we have the GeForce RTX 2080.

Makes me just wonder how far can technology actually improve, until they all hit a wall and there are no more possible ways for developing even more improved technology. I am sure there is a limit at some point isn't there?

Could be wrong, but I think the RT = Ray Tracing and the X is for Microsoft's DXR (DirectX Raytracing)?

Dang impressive they hid all the actual details of a whole architecture. I can admit when I am wrong. Now I wanna know if Nvidia is gonna hold out on gamers and just release Volta or jump us to Turing. Maybe the non tensor version of Turing is called ampere.

Well that's because they ARE legit; straight from Nvidia itself. No kidding about the Classified! Hell, not just the classified, but the Hydro Coppers too! They barely had any Hydro Copper 1080Tis, and they stopped selling them real quick. They're not even listed in the products section anymore. I want to see Classified motherboards again, too. They totally neglected that for X299. If they REALLY wanted to get serious, they could give us an X299 (or whatever's replacing that) successor to the Classified SR-2/SR-X boards! Imagine TWO i9 7980XEs!

Hum, $699 MSRP? Isn't that the same price the GTX1080 Founders Edition card launched at?
