Thanks for all the feedback, everyone.  Our Audio team is looking into these issues, as well.

Hi Leem,
can you also look into this Thread? It seems im also not the only one, who got this crackle problem :/

I have the same exact issue with games and at a certain frequency there is crackling/distortion. Out of the box with only changing filter to a slow sharp rolloff , this cards sounds crackly when apex legends characters talk or shoot weapons. I have the headphones volume at 75%.   I have the asus b350F gaming(latest bios as of july), Evga PSU 450bt and hd650x headphones.  I disabled hd audio controller in bios. Installed latest drivers available in september 27th, 2019 v 02.0.7(firmware ver .2B). Bummer since I was using this with my Elac debut f2.0/ 250w power amp system aswell and music doesn't suffer as much as games but there is still crackling/distortion present.   Honestly, the onboard audio at this point is an upgrade just to avoid distortion. I will end up returning this card if no updates are rolled out to fix the issue since the distortion is not what I want to experience with a sound card/dac product.   EDIT: OK so after reinstalling windows (1903) and reinstalling the evga drivers the card seems to work fine now with a 16bit 44100hz sample rate. No crackling in apex legends or male voices  If I plan on using foobar with some of my dsd64 or 24 bit flac files i have to switch it a 32 bit with high sample rate. So not to bad as of now as I am enjoying the sound quality comparing  it to my more expensive es9038pro dac. As long as the drivers don't bug out. I have not tried messing with the EQ.Edit#2  So the drivers start acting up when i power off my computer and LEAVE my hd58x jubilee plugged in. Sometimes it just sounds really distorted with any audio playback, even just the windows "test" sounds.   Very frustrating to deal with but can be quickly fixed by Unplugging the headphone and re plugging it back in. Another thing regarding the RCA section , I know this card is rated at 5 vrms output but with high volume it really doesn't handle heavy instrumented music like Metal well.   One of my benchmark songs like TOOL's "Right of Two" and "Invincible" sound a bit distorted when heavy amounts of instruments are being played(24 bit FLAC w/ Foobar ASIO,elac f6.2, l7-48 250 wpc power amp). I can't say whether the processing is doing this or if it's just the limit of the DAC. It shouldn't be since it measures well(flat/nuetral with very little distortion) on some tech websites. My ES9038pro dac from aliexpress (mshow audio seller) handles it much better despite lower output volume @ 2vrms. EDIT: SO I FIXED the disortion part for the most part. It turned out that the 1/4 inch adapter that was proveded with the soundcard didn't make 100% contact with the copper of the female jack on the soundcard. I noticed my distortion increased from the next day to the next(at first I thought it was a software issue) since the plug move and introduced poor performance from the signal oputput. I bought another adapter from amazon "DuKabel TopSeries 6.35mm (1/4 inch) to 3.5mm (1/8 inch) Headphone Jack Adapter" and that eliminated distortion on moderate sound tasks. This card still had clipping and distortion with high volume and highly instrumented music during peaks.

Hello!

I'm getting 2xUAC naggs each time i boot my computer with this driver version, same as DKSang (se his images). Using windows 10 x64 1903 build 18362.388 (non insider ect. - Just standard branch with standard UAC settings and everything updated). The hauptic files seems to be unsigned??

The nagging about them is frankly quite darn annoying!

Regards Mikael

UAC is stand for User Account Control you will need to disable UAC in your Control Panel > System and Security > Security and Maintenance > go to UAC to low level set to Never Notify!
You need reboot your windows and it will not notify you UAC anymore

Sorry about that.  We can reproduce this and we're currently working on this issue with Nahimic.  Lowering the UAC will remove the check on every launch, but it's up to you if you feel comfortable doing that.

Hi this might be correct, but in older versions, this wasnt there, so its defenitly a problem from the driver itself. Since i got the Windows 1909 Update, have the same UAC windows popped up.

Was you also able the reproduce this crackle at volume change? I here it now from many with the same problem. Small crack, between volume change or start/stopping the music

How do I interpret this application error? I cannot launch the software either from the taskbar icon nor from the Start\ Program Files.
Thank you!

Good, looking forward to the fix. I won't lower/disable UAC because it's there for a reason (my computer's security). On the subject of uac - you might want to educate your colleague in the prev post to treat that advice with caution and as a last temporary resort rather than just do it because it opens up the computer to a host of nasty software to run amok and that don't sent the message you take your customers security very seriously. You did the right thing - Said it was a possible way to avoid the nagging but at the same time indirectly warned it had drawbacks.

Anyway - Looking forward to the fix

I just realized UAC was disabled and I was not getting the Nahimic checks upon reboot. That stopped the software from starting whenever i tried to click the icon in the taskbar or from the program files. The above poster has a valid concern.

Hello,

1.
if have same problem too, with UAC message after boot.

and guys, to propose to deactivate UAC in windows  is  not ok. So many security issues in internet and you have no better idea then deactivating UAC...... bad bad

2.
I can´t  increase values in advance equalizer , have no effect.  Decreasing values works without problem, Problem at all frequencies.
So for example i decrease 32, 64, 125 Hz to value -12 and i hear bass is very less. Back to value middle "0" = normal bass. Set value to +12. No change in bass . It sounds like value "0".

2.1
changing values in quick equalizer works fine:

I try to solve problems :
- deinstall driver and reinstall again >> without success
- system recvocery >> without success

Firmware is v0.2B
SW 0207
OS: Windows 10 64bit

So i hope you can help. I twill be great. Sound is much better then my Asus Essence STX (I).  But with this driver issue i have send it back to Amazon. 2 weeks time for me to solve problem....

 Thx.

Hi, I've managed to recreate the static sound from the bass, If the 64 boost from the graphic equalizer is set to 4 along with 125 and 250, it will cause distortion in game but not on music. Hope this helps oh and im using the latest firmware and drivers also Win10 latest update.

Maybe there could be a separate version of the driver without the Nahimic features included?
Lets say, a more music related driver of sorts.
