Hi Everyone, here's the latest driver for the NU Audio Card.  This provides a check for AMD processors during install and installs an alternate ASMedia driver to prevent the playback issues some experience using the Gen 3 Ryzen processors.  This also provides an internal workaround for those of you experiencing playback issues after waking from S3/S4 sleep.
Release Notes (v0.2.0.7):
  • Adds compatible ASMedia driver for platforms using AMD processors
  • Fixed random playback errors when resuming from S3/S4 sleep

Let us know what you think, or if you run into any issues.  If you are using an older version of Windows and are running into this issue, please let me know and I will look into it.  However, please only request this if you are experiencing these issues.

I had some trouble installing this. The driver failed to install after first restart. Tried install again after second restart. Install took after 3rd restart, but sounds stopped after 30 seconds. Seems to be working fine after 4th restart. I'll update with any other issues. I'm on the latest build of W10 v1903 18362.295.

Why is it when I install the driver/software in the default program(x86) the app won't open. But when I choose a different location to install it works perfectly fine? Anyone have this same issue? Or, if any of you have problems getting it to open try installing in a different directory.

After back of work today and "Wake up" my PC I have no audio at youtube.
Needed to switch the Sample Rate of 24/96Khz to 16/44.1
And the sound back to work.

Can you try with either Chrome or IE?  From our testing, Firefox creates a similar issue to what you were reporting.  I'm not sure if they tested Edge.  In FF, all you would need to do is refresh the page and audio would come back normally in the video.

Downloaded and installed without issues. One quick question in regard to Nahimic API. Is it save to disable from starting in the task manager if only Stereo output from speaker and headphone is being used?

    Thank you,

Our Audio team told me that you can't disable the Nahimic API, unless you go back to a pre-Nahimic Software and Firmware version.  You can disable the Nahimic API after it loads, but this will obviously disable any of the Nahimic/Quick EQ features.  Do note that unless you enable the Nahimic features, it will work as if the Nahimic features are not installed.

I've been having issues across all functions. When using software that uses ASIO to connect directly to the sound card, I can only get audio through the headphone and analog jacks and not s/pdif (I use JRiver MC 25). I've also been having issues with the mic; that being losing functionality when JRiver is active and using the ASIO protocol. The mic won't even work in the first place unless I go to Sound Control Panel > Recording > Properties > Listen > Check "listen to this device". I found someone with the exact same issue on the EVGA forums, and doing that little trick worked. The only difference between us is that the mic will stop working when ASIO is reactivated. The only way to get it reactivated is to restart my PC and not use JRiver. My findings have led me to believe this is a firmware issue. Help would be appreciated.

This is happening to me as, just recently after the new driver update i started getting a crackling sound when the Bass beat volume was turned up or when adjusting the volume. I'm currently eager to try new drivers.

Update: Bass beat causes the crackle through speakers.

I noticed this too when bass volumes were fairly high.

So i also reinstall Windows completely and install 0.2.0.4. Still the same... Must be a problem with the firmware or something like this. Got 2 brand new cards, both got the same crackle during volume change. Im not satisfied about it, because its an 260€ card here in germany.

With the new driver installed I am now getting two requests to run apps on startup. The two files are EVGA_NahmicAPISvc32.exe and EVGA_NahmicAPISvc64.exe. Once I click the Yes button, they proceed to install and the reboot continues. This behaviour was not observed in previous software. Using Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18980 (20H1).

Good advice! Once in awhile I also notice a no sound issue and that also helps me to switch around sample and bit rates a bit.

    Hi from Spain,

I want to comment on something that started happening to me today when I tried to make a proper equalization for my Meze 99 NEO headphones.

First of all I have to say that these drivers have been working perfectly until this happened on my AMD X570 platform with Ryzen 5 3800X processor. Today I realized that if I play the 10-band equalizer on its three lowest frequencies (32, 64, 125Hz) the sound glitches while listening to the songs on Spotify, and I've done several tests and that's why, there's no doubt.

It's the first time I've tried to do an equalization profile.

We need drivers that will resolve issues with sound cutting in/out when moving the mouse with certain motherboards that have an ASMedia USB3.0 eXtensible Host Controller. This sound card does not work with my Gigabyte Phoenix SLI. Sound is constantly cutting out, it's infuriating. Your support is clueless, they respond with generic responses that have no relevance to the actual issue.

Hi, I am running into an issue when I play music. The sound stutters or glitches very often, like once in ten seconds or so. It just suddenly stops for like half a second and back on. There is also electric noise going around sometimes. I am under Ryzen 3700X and using Beyerdynamics DT990 pro.

Got the same Problem, today Windows 10 1909 was installed. I installed the newest driver again over the existing (same one), but still the same. I have to press two times Yes then everything is fine.
