Wait 35xx CUDA?
Didn't they talk about 3840 CUDA Cores?

People assumed it would be 3840. Nvidia didn't announce that, so it should have never been mentioned.

It's not GP100. GP102, but people are saying its a cut version of GP102 even. (Not sure if true or what, haven't delved into it)

I wonder when we can expect the hydro copper edition?  we still have not seen one for the 1080, which is disappointing..

As far as I know..... (could be wrong)

GP100 = 3840 cores, HBM2 (see Tesla P100)
GP102 = 3840 cores, GDDR5X (full GP102 chip)
TITAN XP = 3584 cores, GDDR5X (cut down GP102)

My understanding is that GP100 = GP102, the only difference being GP100 accepts HBM2 memory. In other words, what we have here, is a $1200 GTX 570.

Yeah that's kinda what I was getting from the information I was reading. Like a GDDR5X version of GP100 I guess. (And more importantly a cut die?)

I dunno, still going to give it a go, even though something better is bound to come out for less in a year or so. I've been playing the waiting game with my SLI 680s for too long now, it's time.

This has been covered more than a few times.. EVGA won't be selling these for the foreseeable future. Only NVIDIA.com or OEM manufacturers. They will not be available, for the time being, from anywhere else. That is from Nvidia and EVGA.

So, in short, no hydrocopper, no hybrid, no SC, just Nvidia stock.

Still unknown if they will release aftermarket coolers though. Hoping at least EK makes a waterblock for it...

I would hope EK does. I doubt evga would pay to have a hydrocopper made for someone else's card though. We may be able to use previous gen equipment, if the layout is similar.

Hopefully the benchmarks will come out soon I can kinda guess the performance but still want to see the benchmarks and how will this new titan overclocks.

That mean crippled GP102 cost 1200$... That's very good for us.
Do you know why? Now I'm not sad because I can't afford him.
I sad when GTX1080 is launched, nothing before AMD launch their premium card.
If they surprise NVIDIA have space to ask 1500$ for full chip.
Only if someone could afford GTX1080 SLI he really don't need to think on anything else.
Together power consumption is little more than overclocked TITAN X but performance are incredible.
Anyway you will not get HBM2... I would bought GTX1080 SLI....
Maybe even EVGA Founders Edition and 2x Hybrid kit or Hybrid versions are even better.
Best option at the moment. With 8GB Video Memory anyone is safe at least 2 years.

I never liked SLI before GTX980 SLI and now GTX1080 SLI is even better optimization.
They could work and on mATX boards without problem. Special X99 platform.
Even i7-5820K/i7-6800K are enough, x8 PCI-E is absolutely same as x16. Bad optimized games influence much more on fps than x8 speed.
Games work perfectly smooth and on x8 in SLI and people no reason to pay 250$ more for I7-5930K/i7-6850K.
They are better but at the moment gamers can't notice that with two graphic cards.

I agree with this, except I think GP100 is full double precision while GP102 is not. I don't think the die determines the memory type in this case(I could be wrong). The Titan X Pascal is cut down on purpose probably so they can release the full 3840 version with HBM2 later on.

GP102 is supposed to be ~450mm2 and just a SP focused chip without the DP section of GP100. So most likely 3584 cores is a cut down Titan just like the original Titan was. Most likely in 6-9 months there will be a full Titan and this card will be EOLed and the 3584 core Titan X will be rebranded 1080Ti with custom coolers.

I think Nvidia made this choice mostly because of GDDR5X's high power consumption and in order to maximize profits/performance at the 250W TDP limit they set for themselves. Once HBM2 becomes widely available 1H 2017 they will be able to easily fit the Full Titan X under 250W TDP with HBM2.

I do wonder if the old ACX 3.0 kit's fit the new Titan X as well. That would be really interesting because the current NVTTM cooler can barely cool a GTX 1080 (it's much louder than the GTX 980) so I hardly think it will be able to cool a Titan X 250W TDP envelope without significant noise. So most people looking for acoustically acceptable performance will need to use an aftermarket cooler.

I respect if someone have money and enjoy to owns only TITAN class.
Maybe some enthusiasts even had all models, TITAN, TITAN Black, TITAN X and now want TITAN X Pascal.
That's nice if budget allow you. Sometimes only performance for bucks are not most important things.
If they had all previous models maybe they want to continue tradition with most premium GeForce ever made.

I had 2 titan x's, now i have 2 1080s. I was thinking of buying this new titan x, and getting rid of SLI because frankly, nothing i play uses SLI. SLI sadly for me has been a huge flop, it only works on AAA games, which are pure garbage. Everything i play is small dev games like red orchestra 2 or RTS which don't use SLI, and one giant card will rein supreme for this.

But the last titan was considered the top of the line in gaming card category.

Now they say the new titan x is not part of gaming card family anymore...

Yeah this is a pretty bad for us 980 ti and titan x people that want more performance :( the choices are atm to get a non gamers card called titan x that doesn't have a transferable warranty but has much better performance than a titan x or to wait even longer for a possible 1080 ti after nvidia weeds the bad titan x chips out and turns them into 1080 ti chips. going normal 1080 just doesn't seem to offer a worthy boost :(

I don't think there is going to be a 1080 ti. The new titan x should have been the 1080 ti. Nvidia is releasing it as a titan x though.

+1. This was supposed to be 1080ti. It's already cut down. Only other top of the Pascal card yet to come is a possible titan x black but many predict it'll come in at 1500 USD.

Seems like the 700 series all over again...

Titan is released (Titan X-P in this case which is cut down)
780Ti comes out with full GK110 chip (1080Ti is released with all 3840 cores)
Titan Black is released since 780Ti>Titan in gaming (Titan X2-P or w/e comes out with all 3840 cores and possibly HBM2 instead of GDDR5X)

Titan Z is released(Titan XZ? Now this is just wishful thinking lol)

I don't think there is going to be a 1080 ti. The new titan x should have been the 1080 ti. Nvidia is releasing it as a titan x though.

Let's Hope the Next Pascal card will be an EVGA and WATERCOOLED!
