EVGATech_LeeM What happens if you switch to the Line-In input?
No sound at all. There's a "pop" when I turn on recording, but otherwise, no sound then. The terrible noise in the mic port is connected to the video card power. Its all clear when PC is idle, but starting up any game gives this result.

As well, the rear channel also has terrible noise when gaming, most probably caused by videocard power. It even produces sound when mouse cursor is moved.

Tried isolating the sound card rear plate from the PC casing metal, no help for both mic noise and rear channel noise. I can put up with mic noise by connecting it to the onboard sound card, but the rear channel is a problem. The extension card of Nu Audio pro is right next to the video card (they do touch each other) and I can't move it away. What can I do to increase shielding and lower the noise? Strange the other channels are just fine.

This noise is most probably coming from the PCIexpress connection, not from a bad shielding (which is most of the time pure placebo) The best you can try is to put your card in another PCIex port, hoping it gets less noise, as a 1x PCIEx card can use ANY PCIEx port (even 16x, smaller fit in larger ones) You can try to switch your card power connector for one which isn't connected to any other (direct powersuppy to card with no other feeding) Only Evga can truly resolve this issue by reducing input noise coming from both PCIEx and power using filtering components on the card. Perhaps on the next one?

I have done some tests on the electric noise in the mic and rear channel issue recently. Here is the result: The noise is only around when my headphones (5.1 physical ones, with 4 jacks) are connected to both the main and additional card. Its all clear if only the add. card is used (no front channel or mic). Its all fine with simple stereo headphones mode. But when I link both cards with my headphones, the current starts flowing between and noise appears. Its not specific to any special port, its just a factor of lower resistance path. So, its some kind of a Ground Loop issue, may be connected with power unit or computer casing or generally bad grounding of the house.

I can see how that could create a ground loop issue. Let me check with our team for solutions.

I am not sure it can be helped at all... What do you think, may be I can try connecting both main and additional cards bodies with a thick copper wire to to give the current an even easier way to flow?

Can I use Nahimic 3 extra software with Nu Audio? Or only the version integrated in drivers is compatible?

Update: thick copper wire between the plates of both cards has not helped reduce the electric noise. Tried connecting the wire to different parts of the system, no effect.

I have Several question and hope yall can help answer.. I have three things here: (like to give full background info before I ask) 1- Compilot to connect to my Hearing Aid through RF frequency.. It's hooked to 3.5 jack. If You're curious click on this LINK. 2- Buttkicker hooked to my chair to feel the vibration! Connected through 3.5 Audio jack.. If You're curious click on this LINK. 3- Woojer EDGE VEST to wear and feel the vibration! Connected through 3.5 Audio Jack.. If You're curious click on this LINK.
And Yes I'm CRAZY for having all these devices hooked up.. FYI- I'm DEAF as you probably figured out by now looking or seeing the word Hearing Aids.. As for right now it's all running through 3 way 3.5 splitter jack plugged into my EVGA Classified Z370 Mobo onboard Audio jacks. QUESTION ONE- is is Audio Nu Pro worth it? IF Yes Then read 2nd question- QUESTION TWO- Can I run either Woojer or Buttkicker through Optical while other is plugged into 3.5 jack? Or would I have to picked one or other to have all through through?
I want the best sound and vibration running through my whole body.. FYI ever since I have all hooked up.. It has helped enhance and improve my gaming experience. I can play the same level as any other hearing gamers out there since they hear and I feel more.. (I can hear sounds but dunno what they are specifically so I rely on the vibration movement instead). Also another note.. I will be building another Gaming Rig.. So I am planning on getting the M-ATX Micro 2 X299 EVGA. Would the Audio NU PRO be a waste of time because of onboard audio is just as good?
I no longer own a Killer RIG except 2010 Mac Mini with old 30" Cinema Monitor until I build a new one... My daughter now owns EVGA Z370 Classified, i7-8700K CPU 3.70GHz, 16GB Dominator Corsair, 1650GTX GPU Black n White Case.

Sadly, the daughter board is now dead for my Nu Audio Pro 7.1 sound card. The main card works without any issues. I get no sound now from any of the audio channels on the daughter board. A few days ago, I lost audio in my center channel and surround channels, and that was it. I am rather disappointed, as this is now my second Nu Audio Pro 7.1 that now has a failure. The first one I bought was dead right out of the box with a defective analog section on the card. This appears to also be another analog related issue, but this time it is only with the daughter card. Edit: I am wondering too that perhaps the mini-DP cable that connects the two cards together is defective. This could also certainly cause this issue. I am wondering if EVGA could possibly send me one in the mail first to see, so I can see if that is the issue and to avoid having to do an RMA.

These cards really worth it over even really good on board audio? I have a ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Hero X570 I have separates - Rotel Pre-amp RC-1572 and a Rotel 200W x2 channel Amp - It's a 2.1 set up - SVS sub rounds it out. Right now I use Optical out from the PC, the Rotel does have USB connection to the PC but it creates problems if I want to switch to CD -and then later switch back. The device drops entirely. So it seems USB is out.

It's definitely one of the best audio options available and I would say I can notice a difference but how much that matters is going to be up to the listener. With you having audio equipment it seems like you would be a good fit. On the other hand someone who has gone to a lot of loud rock concerts and uses $29 speakers from Walmart might not notice an improvement.

OBE, and btw they will be out of stock for a while since AKM fire destroyed the source of the DAC.

I.E. are you using the DAC in the sound card by using outputs direct to a speaker - or a TOSLink or coax connection to a receiver or preamp (in which case the DAC in the sound card is not used)?
