I was waiting for the 3080 ti, it will depend on the prices here at EVGA if I will queue for that one. I was expecting a lower starting price.
I'm not sure if the 3080 ti or the 3090 will be the better deal.
The 3090's problems with overheating VRAM is what was holding me back to try to get one of those.
And then I read reviews about how great these cards are when they work but they stopped working after weeks.
Which 3090 is the best, I mean not the fastest but the better cooled, most robust?
Is the cheapest one a good choice?
Are the problems people are having with these cards very common or is is not something I should worry about?
Also, can I queue for multiple cards or do I need to chose one?

I'm not going to pass up on this queue, I'm already in the queue for both the 3080 FTW3 GAMING (10G-P5-3895-KR) and the 3080 FTW3 ULTRA GAMING (10G-P5-3897-KR) since 1/29/2021. I'm sure both of these cards will not be produced as much after the 3080 Ti comes out. I know there have been others waiting in the queue longer than I have and probably have already given up hope. I believe these cards will no longer be produced even if we get out of this chip drought.

Wait I need to clairify something here, is it only the queue that is opening on 24 hour elite access? so that means you can't order it right there and then even if your like the first person? Or is it that once they sell out of cards they go to the notify me queue?

No dude thats just how stupidly long the queue is. For reference. I was in queue for 9/18/2020 ftw3 and i didn't get if for months and thats about almost as early as you can get into queue. It's just gonna take a while.

I just want to know if the PCB's being used are the same as the 3080 counterparts or if they are longer. Cards were announced don't get the secrecy on specs still.

Will all the release cards be LHR so that miners won't try to snatch them all up?
Only the almost impossible to get founders edition cards will not be LHR. All after market cards are limited. Last I heard, the only place to get a founders edition card was thru Best Buy. Is that still true?
