After seeing the initial reviews of the 3080Ti, I have to wonder who is actually going to buy these other than scalpers?
I mean I get it, easy $750-1000 in profit just by flipping it on eBay, that's pretty tempting. But for gamers, the performance increase is so small over the 3080, what justifies $500 more?
Maybe people that are way back in the queue for 3080's just trying to get ANY card at all and are willing to pay that much? I guess maybe I'm looking at it differently since I'm only a few hours away in the 3080 FTW3 Ultra queue. Just doesn't make sense to me after seeing reviews.

The first card I registered was 2x 7900GT CO cards in March of 2006... Followed by a GTX 260, 2x GTX 285, an X58 SLI Classified Mobo, 2x GTX 480, 3x GTX 580, a GTX 570, 3x GTX 680 SC+, 2x GTX TITANs, 3x 780 Ti, 3x GTX 980, an EVGA X79 Dark, 2x GTX 1080 SC, and 2x 1080 Ti... EVGA got no love for loyalty, but what a fun time gaming all those years

this is how far i got, tried to get to shopping basket then crash.. after several minutes my basket was empty , another half an hour and "add to card" option was gone :( unlucky
happened exactly the same thing to me

Simple question that deserves an honest answer from EVGA. Where is the auto notify button for this card? I see the notify for the non XC3 card...but is there any reason why if the card is in or out of stock to not have the notify option?

Thinks that's eVGA auto-notifying us that those are essentially sold out for the time being...doesn't do anyone much good to wait for 6-9 months for a card either.
This^. We had a very limited supply of this part number for today, so we limited the number of people who could queue for it. When we have more stock available for purchase, we will add the auto-notify button again.

For all the people hating on EVGA for not having the perfect sign-up scenerio, i'd suggest purchasing a different brand in the future. Not fun watching all the whiny ****es in here.
Expecting a better experience is a reason to stop being a loyal customer? EVGA do you agree?

This was the absolute worst I’ve seen the EVGA site. Took me almost 3 hours to sign up for the auto notify. It wasn’t this bad on launch day last year for the 3080. Hell I almost checked out then. I couldn’t even load any pages today and got hit with an “access denied” at one point. Had it hit everyone else with the short term ban, maybe it would have been better. It just goes to show that even if the product is overpriced, it makes no difference at this point.

I might start to sell a green brick named nvidia, and make a money of it.

Didn't even get to see the launch edition listing since the product page wouldn't load for over an hour. A mouse would've been nice, but I'll be happy to get a flagship GPU in 3-6 months. Wonder how closely EVGA staff will be reviewing notification requests. They could probably cut out 50% or more of the first few thousand likely being bots and scammers. More GPUs in the hands of legit customers.
The sad thing is, I don't think they give two ****s. For them, money is money - why would they care where it comes from? If they actually cared, they would've gone out of their way to treat their actual CUSTOMERS better than this. You can be a loyal EVGA fan for years, potentially spending thousands of dollars on their products, and then one day some **** comes along without spending a dime, and he gets the same "elite" status as you just by spamming the forums. Thanks a lot, EVGA. Really makes us paying customers feel valued and appreciated.

6900 XT performs worse? Check your facts dude, outside of ray tracing the card is a beast, especially the toxic.

So I fell victim to the XC3 Hybrid post which has photos of the Hydro Copper block. Was hoping for the HC...but considering what it took to even get this far and that I don't wanna do anything to lose my spot in line (I think I got in kinda earlyish)...I think I'll just take the Hybrid card. I might not even see it until Christmas lol.

I have bought the gtx 260 gtx 570 gtx 680 rtx 2080 rtx 3070 from evga and couldn't even get in the page for 2 hours what good is elite status if everyone has it in the end got in the queue for the 1399 one which is the card I didn't even wanted I wanted the 1199 but it didn't give me a option I'm very disappointed in this elite status thing it just made things worst
