I get the frustration, but I don't understand why all of the venom aimed at EVGA...
 
I mean, there is huge demand, competition vs scalpers, bots and general shortages, not to mention massive hiccups and delays in shipping and supply lines.
None of that is EVGA's fault.
 
At least they're offering a queue and at least they offered first dibs to elite members, which is something no one else is doing - especially not Newegg who, besides today's clean shuffle, will probably start forcing "combo" bundling so they can unload whatever other stock they don't want to people that just want the cards.
 
EVGA could've spared themselves the grief and done none of this and simply do nothing like every other AIB.

While true the bigger annoyance is just with the website and the roulette nature of whether or not you could get the page loaded and working over the past now 3 hours. While plenty of people would still probably end up rather miffed when they were way at the back of the line having shown up and signed up right at 6 AM PT at least we/they wouldn't have spent the past 3 hours agonizing over making the website work to get in line. We all still might be in the same crappy spot in line but it would have been a smoother process.
 
I know I'm actually kind of perturbed I spent the first hour and a half reloading the XC3 page which did have an Auto-Notify button displaying but was only full of false promise.

Can we please create a petition or something requesting that they cancel all requests in the first hour?  I don't think anyone who was real actually got in queue at that time...

How can we be so sure about that though? EVGA can definitely track scalpers running scripts or bots that became elite in the last couple of days. I'd say to all those new elites that did so by straight-up spamming on word game threads should definitely be looked into by EVGA, those are definitely scalpers.

So I was able to finally submit for auto notify at around 7:57 AM PT, am wondering when people will begin to get notification/buy slots, for the lucky ones that are first in line?

Because there's a lot of people hanging around here that understand nothing about business, economics, or supply and demand. They just point the finger of blame at the easiest target - the company selling the product.

Ehhhhh, as someone who has intimate knowledge of your aforementioned topics I have to disagree. Theses product launches could be handled much better. I've already suggested sending an email link to Elite members for a non-searchable product page at launch which would solve the site issues and brand loyalty issues. EVGA has zero control of the semiconductor shortage but they do have control of how they launch their products. If they are going to go through the trouble of rewarding their "Elite" members, they need to place more thought on how these launches take place. Just my $0.02.

100 percent.  nailed it.  they are just using the same exact system they have been that failed with multiple launches and we are supposed to act like they did something extra for us?  this was a performance to maintain brand loyalty while still doing essentially the same thing as every other company

That was a complete nightmare.

I got in at 10:44am EST and I know people got in before me.

I was in at 10:29 EST  for the EVGA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti FTW3 ULTRA GAMING (12G-P5-3967-KR.)
 
Managed to get in for my other choices at 10:53am EST and 11:06am EST with confirmation emails, spent the first 90 minutes F5'ing....
