This thing of shortage is a farce...
They simple not selling at consumer, divert the production to Enterprise, to some distributor at scalp price and under the table to miners. I cannot think that evga don't have any cards ready at launch, only send card to reviewer, otherwise call it paper joke launch.
Why there are people on queue for 1 year ? You simply don't want sell any card to consumer.
Only hope is intel want to flood market to consumer to make inroad to gamer community not miners and scalpers, so actually sell cards to consumers.

One thing you should all think about is that the Queue is open right now for the XC card.  If any of you really need a new 30 Series and you were hoping for a 3050, you should consider jumping in the queue for this now.  If the queue opens up for the XC Black card (and it hasn't yet at this time), you can remove your XC notify and get into the queue for the XC Black card at that time.  Of course, if you get the notification to purchase the XC before the XC Black is open for notifies, you can still make your choice at that time if you want to purchase the card.  For people in that situation, I would suggest you get into the queue, keep an eye on the XC Black, and worry about your decision later.

damn, pushing that FOMO hard.

you heard it here folks, XC black was never open, and "If" is heavily emphasized. the $249 card is vaporware.

Not really my intent here.  In every launch, you have some cards available Day-1 or close to it.  Even then, some cards are naturally delayed or limited in quantities (e.g. HYBRIDs, HC, K|NGP|N cards, etc.).  Getting in the queue is not a contract where you are obligated to buy, after all.  The constant feedback we get from members is that they wish they had signed up for something when queues are open.  If the queue is available now, there's no downside to jumping in, unless you know you won't purchase it - in which case, you might just be taking a spot from someone who does want to purchase it.

You are correct that the XC Black queue has not been opened.  My emphasis is more to suggest that users think about how to use the Queue system to their advantage, even if they just use the notification as a placeholder while waiting for the one they want to open.

I appreciate the clarification... Some people replying in the threads are a bit... Abrasive... If not condescending. I wish you guys luck and smooth sailing for this launch. E1 looks sick btw.

but you can't sign up for a queue in hindsight if/when it's closed.

so are you implying that the 3050 XC gaming will "close"? i thought queues wouldnt be closed like last time?

Its happens with stuff man.  The Corvette we just bought my daughter is a lower model than the one I bought myself last year and it was a bit more.  That is how inflation works.

Yeah, it really sucks when necessities like Corvettes and $1200 GPUs go up in price.

What does that back plate do again? Lol. It is…what it is, inflation + current market. I’m actually going to buy this for my Plex server. Hope it puts me in a stronger position for the 4000 series when it comes out In September.

at least asus is up front with the money grab

Asus Rog Strix model is $489.  I'll settle for the $329 EVGA model

I agree. That ASUS price is insane. Even the $439 model is incredibly too much. In a sane world even $249 is too high for the performance of this card. But, since we can only buy what's available and even if both prices were equal, I'd much rather buy EVGA's card for $80 extra. EVGA is a much better company anyway and I'd rather support them even if they are overcharging bit.

I didn't attempt to F5 my way to 3050 glory this morning, but from what I can tell from my position on the fence eating a s'mores, the site held up much better than it had for past launches. Congrats and thanks to EVGA engineers for the work they put into stabilizing the site for product launches; it appears to have paid off.

The only issue is we will never know what kind of quantities you would possibly ship of the black cards if you decided to ever sell them. Like others have said, if you cancelled your notify for the XC then you you might be giving up your shot at any card at all. Just because a queue would have opened for the black doesn't mean you would ever get one.

To that, I would say that this is something we are very cognizant about going forward.  I don't expect you'll see this situation occurring with new queues going forward.

Well said! I think people are slightly on fire right now due to them not saving a few bucks on a very hot ticket item. The way I look at it, is at the very least I might get a GPU at all, and at a semi-reasonable price too. Worst case scenario is I throw it up on craigslist ask if anyone wants to trade for the $249 model, or I wait for the EVGA Step-Up program to open up again and request a RTX-3060 for little extra cost.

The GTX-1050 TI is extremely underrated, and no one can tell me otherwise.

Considering that I was online at 9 am PT for the reopening of the 3090 KPE HC registrations but couldn't register for an additional 01:51:28 because the site wasn't stable...yes, I would consider the stability of the site today a huge improvement.  Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman huge.

I'm glad it's something that is being considered. But there is a very easy solution. Just remove the 1 notify per chipset rule. If we could sign up for both SKUs this problem wouldn't exist. If you wanted to limit the number of purchases per chipset I would understand that. But to have to guess which SKU will ship when, and at what quantity, is what creates the problem. Thanks for responding Lee.

It's not a hot ticket item for it's performance... It's a hot ticket item for the price point which adding an $80 backplate negates. I wanted to build my kid a PC and she doesnt need anything mind-blowing since she plays valorant and Minecraft. Any other time, she'd have been excited to get a 1060 and a 4 core CPU... Right now she's on my old all in one that can barely play valorant on low without stuttering.

so, if i'm not elite, my chance to get 3050 tomorrow goes to zero....or less?

I think they might have the $249 model queue open tomorrow; however I can almost guarantee it will A, be very very full, and B, it'll be restocked less than the $329 one, so you can take that as you will.

The GTX-1050 TI is extremely underrated, and no one can tell me otherwise.

I had a shot at the $329 card as soon as the button went live... which wasn't 9:00 AM EST... more like 9:03?  Anyway, never saw the $249 button before servers crashed.  Anyone get in on the Black?  I won't pay $329 for this marginally acceptable 1080p card.  Too bad, my cash-poor nephew is itching for an upgrade.

Same here, buy a card for my son as a surprise gift.  Had to wake up a 4AM in Hawaii.  I won't pay $329 for this marginally acceptable 1080p card. His GTX 770 is still working.  I have bought only EVGA cards for my family since 2007, jump though hoops to sign up for Elite Membership, wake up at 4AM on launch day.  It is sad to treated this way, no reason the que could not be open for the Black model.  Traditionally the non-black model is only 7% higher for the 3% overclocking.  It should be priced only $267.50 not $329.

RexxcastleIt BLOCKED you for 15 mins.  I warned people of this yesterday.  its another line of defense for bots and people that want to spam F5.  The site never crashed for those of us hitting F5 at a normal rate.

Heh, I got hit with this as well.  Fortunately, although this is a legitimate "need" (as in I'll use the card, not flip it or something) it's not time sensitive and between the EVGA Tiers and previous-purchase deprioritization, I have no frame of reference for a good/bad time anyway.  I'm late signing up but no idea how many others in a relative sense are in my tier and I'm at the back of THAT line for having bought a card before anyway, etc.  Not worth worrying about.

Yeah if you've been participating in recent B-Stocks you're very familiar with how the new ban timers work.

Hi. This is the second release in a row where I (as an "Elite" member) have received no prior notice/opportunity to queue for the card (first was the 3080 12GB). I am opted in to "all the things" (AFAIK). Is this how things are supposed to work now or is something broken?! Thank you.
