If this is really true, EVGA should just implement a pre-order / waiting list for those customers that want one of the cards that are eligible for the step up program. Seems like a waste of time, energy and money to go through this whole process (for both them and their customers, e.g shipping the cards back and forth). I would try this, but I didn't like step 4 in the Step Up process: "Wait in queue until approval - this step can last from a few days to many weeks depending on demand"... I honestly felt screwed today when I had a 3090 FTW3 Ultra in my cart but could not complete the order due to the web site crapping out... as I'm sure many others did. As a repeat customer that has purchased several high end EVGA cards, this experience has really left a bad taste in my mouth, and now I have begun to look elsewhere...

I just checked ebay and alot of new listings for the 3090 founders mostly so the bots weren't stopped at all.
Likely all from Best Buy purchases.
All from Best Buy is 100 percent not true. Best buy hasn't even released the FE or any ASUS cards from the 3090. It was probably all from the Nvidia website if it's just mostly FE for sale.

When the site first launched the 3090, both the ultra and regular ftw3 were elite exclusives.
It took me the absolute longest 30 minutes to continuously hit refresh on broken pages and check out, but honestly it was better than everything going to scalper bots like every other vendor site.

I am getting conflicting info that FE cards are still faster and always will be faster than AIB's. How true is that?
This isnt true. The only difference between the cards is the possibility that FE cards have the best binned chip but that is pretty pointless since they are the first cards to hit power limit.

There's a tiny bit of truth about this...
The FE cards are WAY underpriced for their design and component layout.
Realistically, the 3080 FE should be around 1,100. The 3090 looks like a 16 layer 2,000 dollar extreme OCing card.
It kinda feels like a "Screw you" to board partners this round.
But it did drop prices like crazy, so I'm happy about that!

Hello dear friends! As always I am with evga. Already paid and I'm waiting for EVGA GeForce RTX3080 Ultra FTW3 10 GB OC. But read the article - Tell me, everyone's favorite EVGA, with POSCAP Capacitors, has no problem? Or is it a problem for people using old power supplies? (dark screens and crashes in games.)
