Same here... I was stuck at "Place Order" for 40+ mins (even took a pic) and it just wouldn't place the order and then the system just ripped out my selection and it said it was sold out.

Ditto to a lot of the other posts ... had the card in my cart (have screenshots), even got through to the final checkout page verifying shipping/billing, but then got a java error...!!!
This happened TWICE -- had both 3090 FTW3 and FTW3 Ultra at different times... (really wanted the latter)...
That was a waste of 2.5 hours of my life! I guess this is the benefit of "Elite Membership"...

So does anyone know with the EVGA 30 series cards is Afterburner able to control all the fans??
Searching around a bit and haven't been able to get an answer about that. I much prefer Afterburner for overclocking, monitoring, video capture and FPS limiting. I'm liking the specs on the EVGA cards but I'm not a fan of EVGA's Precision software.
I had been buying EVGA cards for years but jumped over to MSI for the 2080Ti after finding Afterburner could only control a single fan with the EVGA 1080Ti card.
I'm not sure if that's the case anymore as Nvidia started supporting Async fans in NVAPI.

Next time maybe do a lottery and save folks the f'n frustration of crashing servers and the tease of getting to "place order" and having a "Lucy pulling the football" moment (multiple times!). In the end you just feel like an idiot for having participated. Somebody seriously needs to rethink the customer experience for these release events.

Still waiting for my 3080 XC3 - Ordered it on 9/18 @ 7:45am PST. Still on backorder, but I expect it to be backordered for another week or two.
I hope not though. Saw the 3090 launch wasn't any better.

For the ones that couldn't get the place order button to work this morning for the 3090. I had the same issue. But unchecking the agree to the terms box above the place order button, then re-checking it, made the place order button work instantly for me. My order went through and has already shipped.

Also happened to me. Went through the elite member page, got one in the cart. Site glitched out on me. Refresh, refresh, refresh. Get to payment. Click on PayPal. Finished paypal page. Kicked back to EVGA which said it was removed due to insufficient stock. Thankfully I was able to try again for the less expensive FTW. 3090. Added to cart, did the f5 dance between checkout steps and it actually went through. Luck is definitely involved but given how terrible my experiences were for the 3080 on MULTIPLE websites, I'd say this was a million times better. I never even got to add to cart previously.

EVGA‘s site had the same problems for me as the 3080s launches unfortunately.
I also tried Newegg this time but it was instantly gone, like Nvidia’s site. Nvidia actually redirected to another store using a different currency.

on the 3090 ftw would I be okay just using 2 cables and daisy chaining the third 8 pin slot or should I buy a cable set?
