Will they have new vertical mount cable's for the 3000 series card bandwidth? or can we use the extended cable we have now?

Osubverto Can someone somewhere explain to me the reasoning behind the notify button? It quite literally does not work. I have signed up to be notified on almost all 3080s just for testing purposes (I only want the FTW Ultra) and I have yet to receive an email of availability. How on earth can anyone with a life outside of this crap site ever get a card? I have no intention of sitting there spamming f5 on this site every day all day hoping something will come in stock. Its absolutely inexcusable tbh.
Once you click on the Auto-Notify button and you put in your email, you'll get an email once the product is available. Now personally you can't rely on that, by the time you get that notification it's all gone. Unfortunate you have to pretty much stay awake make coffee sit and refresh the site - it's either a "lottery thing" or just smoke screen.

jWILL253 Nvidia has confirmed the 3090 performance over the 3080:
For gamers pushing the limits, the GeForce RTX 3090 is also the first GPU that lets you connect, play, capture, and watch in 8K HDR. That’s an insane 4x the pixels of 4K and 16x the pixels of 1080p. For 4K gaming, the GeForce RTX 3090 is about 10-15% faster on average than the GeForce RTX 3080, and up to 50% faster than the TITAN RTX. Since we built GeForce RTX 3090 for a unique group of users, like the TITAN RTX before it, we want to apologise upfront that this will be in limited supply on launch day. We know this is frustrating, and we’re working with our partners to increase the supply in the weeks to come. — NVIDIA
Pretty skeptical about anything Nvidia claims at this point. Hype the crap out of the next new thing (bigger, better, faster, stronger), limit production, distribution, and in turn availability...resulting in instant demand, whether deserved or not. Pretty sure they've got it down and know exactly what they're doing (read: CALCULATED). "Working with our partners to increase supply"...total bulls@#. They've exerted nearly absolute control over production and distribution, down to how many cards each and every retailer and storefront receives, when they're allowed to start selling, etc. Guessing their partners would have increased production significantly had they been given the option. Nvidia has taken no responsibility, issued a couple generic apologies and for the most part threw their partners under the bus, and have remained pretty lackadaisical in terms of preventing bots & scalpers from doing what they do. It's not like they have the means or resources to do so (that was sarcasm, they're a multi-billion dollar company and back in July passed Intel as the most valuable chipmaker in the U.S.) Poorly handled launch would be a gross understatement, so f#^k 'em. Might buy from team red in the near future out of spite.

I'm still praying for a card myself... But the lack of communication from Nvidia just feels weird🤔 Like they've made a few statements here and there but nothing that truly feels like they're doing much to control this crazy scalping. (S*%$ Should be illegal😑) However I do get its a difficult problem to solve!

Did the trick where you lookup 3000 series in general then narrow down price range untill the card you are looking for just shows up, even though there is no price on it.

I don't really know what I am part of this group. I buy EVGA card for resellers, but EVGA does not sell to Australia off its site. :( I don't see the benefits on being an 'Elite Member' lol I'm hanging out for a 3080 with water block and I don't think the Hydro Copper cards are coming to Australia.

To shoot the s&!t and wait around for your dream card to show up. :D Honestly I'm gonna try for a 3090 in... almost 5 hours... but I REALLY want that hydro copper waterblock. If I don't end up with an FTW3 tonight, I'll get over it. I'll be sad, but I'll get over it. I'm also gonna buy the waterblock as soon as it's available, or maybe grab a heatkiller for it if they come out before the hydro copper does. Good luck everyone!

Yeah I know. I will just have to wait till next year to get one. I have two 108ti cards at the moment and my loop is way to big to just take them out and have an air cord till I can get a block. :) I just have to be patient.

I'm also down with grabbing a FE card if I can get my hands on it.
Part of me doesn't really want to. Looking at the 3080 PCB and its components, layout, and cooler design, I'm honestly kinda confused about the price they're selling it at. I'm not a conspiracy theorist, or anti-Nvidia, and I believe there's still a decent margin for them on the FE cards... but... polymer caps, awesome coils, a 12 layer PCB to try and avoid crosstalk on that squashed of a layout, dual sided memory on the 3090... This looks like components I'd expect on a high dollar OC card like the FTW3 or Aorus Xtreme series, and not like any of the previous FE cards from Nvidia, especially at the entry level cost of the cards. I feel like this is kind of a stab in the back for board partners, especially EVGA who has consistently made the best Nvidia series cards out there for years.
EVGA might be a small company compared to some of their competition, but literally everything you guys have designed has been done extremely well, and you've always held up to your RMA and warranty promises. The FE card would be easier to fit into my case with a waterblock, but I'm still gonna try and cram the FTW3 into it. :D:D

I get you there... It's a lot easier for me to quick disconnect my single rtx 2080 and deal with a giant loop only cooling my cpu for a bit. Still plenty of airflow in my case for an air cooled card for a bit.

No real specific reviews for it, but I think GN did a bunch of custom card comparisons for stuff that was available. I'm sure it did just as good as, if not better than, the cards priced around the same. It's EVGA's power design, so it probably OCs and maintains boost better too as long as there's decent airflow in your case.

How big of a difference is there between xc3 and ftw3 when it comes to cooling? Is it just a few degrees or more?

Obviously I have no hands on experience with these cards, but if it's anything like the difference between the 2080 XC ultra and the 2080 XC2 ultra, it could be as substantial as 7 °C to 10 °C at full fan speed on an open test bench. obviously air cooled components rely heavily on case setup and airflow.

These prices are still completely off, should be more like 590+VAT. Impossible to buy from EVGA in Europe because of this, impossible to buy from retailers because they havent been sent any in Europe. Same BS for the 2080Ti launch and forced me to buy two MSI cards that time around.
