koroem No preorders, and industry sources are saying this will be one of the lowest stock launches in years because the yields on Samsung wafers are an unknown. Sounds like a recipe for epic scalping and price gouging. Strap in for a very anti-consumer launch guys.
Here is to hoping people resist buying over MSRP. I know I won't. But...
Yeah this is a thing I never get. Why should I buy a thing (whatever it is) for hundreds of dollars more then the msrp. Sonys ps4 Was a disaster. Preorders for 499 and sold for over 1500 on eBay. And still there were buyers! Why the f...?

Well that doesn't sound that good. But I thought it was a shortage on the 7nm Samsung Chips not the 8nm ampere uses in the end.
Every launch lately has been a catastrophe. The RTX 20 was a huge mess. The Ryzen CPUs were really hard to get for the longest time... The PS5 is already known to be in short supplies. These GPUs, with the MSRPs we're seeing? And COVID? There is no way they have enough supply for the demand.

In this situation, I dont think Nvidia has a choice to allow Pre-orders. With a Worldwide Pandemic, along with all of the other things 2020 has "blessed" us with, it's just a fact that there IS going to be shortages. It's hard for us as consumers to blame the companies releasing. They still have to move forward in their line of work, even if they can only get X amount of supply out the door. Basically it's just an unfortunate year, for all products consumers want. I'm with all the others, and will wait and hope I can get a 3090 FTW. My 2080 Ti XC needs an upgrade.

Exactly, and Nvidia wanted to get the jump on AMD's RDNA 2 cards, strike first and strike hard, even if not widely available mind share of having the fastest GPU is important.

(wow the entitlement that I see in this thread... I want it NOW NOW NOW NOW! *someone hit me up with a gif please*) Anyways... does EVGA have a ballpark price for the 3090 series? Looks like Nvidia did release the 3080 reference price of $669.00. Hopefully the 3090 is around the $869 - $900 range.

So considering the FE 2080Ti pricing, the 3090KP will be like $2500 / €2600 in EU?

I went through the thread and had a couple questions that I do not believe were answered. For the FTW3, do we expect to an Ultra/Overclocked model also? Or just one model for now? Also, when do we expect to start seeing boost speeds for these cards? Is that something we probably won't see until September 17th also? Thanks!

That person's going to be in for a world of disappointment. I'm expecting the FTW3 to be at least $100 over MSRP and the FTW3 Ultra to be at least $300 over (based on 2080 ti price differences). So $1600 and $1800. And that's the best case scenario. With extremely limited supply I could see them being even higher (and I need to get two...ouch).

I’m expecting the same premium over the FE, which was 200 dollars the last time around. Although I am honestly worrying about potential stock issues. Another 20 series repeat will be annoying.

Not sure if this was asked, since these cards (at least the FE ones) are going to be released on the 17th, do we have a time of day as to when this will happen? Will be overnight or in the morning? What would it be?

re:Elite members: probably not. I doubt they have enough stocks for all the elite members. Which is really not something that's hard to get... re:RTX 3090 FTW3 Ultra/OC It hasn't been announced. So we don't know. And we won't until it's actually announced maybe someday.

Oh, the FTW3 is gonna be non-OC'ed version on launch then? They seem to be cheaper than Ultra's, so I am okay on that since 3090s are already a wallet breaker.

NICROD I agree, they should be screening loyalty customers to the front of the line. Its a no brainer. I tell you what if they leave us all to try and fight the bots. We should boycott and jump ship to another company this gen. I bet if we start organizing right here they will notice and do something.

- FTW3 cards will be 2.75 slots. Length is 11.81in. - 300mm / Height is 5.38in. - 136.75mm.
Are there any plans to include or release some sort of a sag bracket for the 3090 cards, considering their length and likely thiqq coolers?

So many people asking lengths - just get a normal case instead of gimped down to the max matches box so there wouldn't be a paranoia "is it going to fit". Would understand if we talk about the price but mid sized cases ain't more expensive than these tiny cases people seemingly hoard.

Everything points to no preorders at this point. And that would be coming from NVidia themselves.

This could end up working out well for AMD next month if they can provide something mildly competitive in high volume, if Nvidia can't supply 30xx quick enough.
As someone with a 1080Ti FTW3 I can wait, also as I suspect the 3080Ti series is waiting in the wilderness to fill the $800-1000 void.
