I just pre-ordered the EVGA RTX 3060 XC 12GB on amazon. There were over 30+ available and only lasted a minute.

I don't think that preorder thing to work, most of 3000 series orders gets canceled by Amazon because of high demand recently in EU, yet I don't know how fulfillment works on US. Also that 3060 preorder was only available for US, no more regions neither EU nor Asia. When I have seen 3060 listing, I thought that 3060 preorders may be canceled because of fulfillment issues or MSRP increases(They say preorders has price stability guarentee but since Vega 64 preorder prices incresed in Amazon UK recently I don't believe that price tag stability) like other available 3000 series buyouts. Hope yours come and you can enjoy using it tho.
 

I just got an email from amazon. They are only allowing 1 item per account and canceling additional items due to limited stock. Probably those cancelled items will be relisted?

I don't think that cancellations will be back ordered since MSRP increases are so popular for retailers nowadays. Maybe 10-20 stock for release day tho. They will come back with prices like maybe 450-500 USD or even more hence mining crysis survival. Briefly I will take this one step further and predict that 3060's future will be like 3060 Ti, most of 3060s will be sooner get placed in mining rigs, because of increased MSRPs will never touch a miner cause of crypto earning. Hope that won't happen that bad and that would be only my pessimistic perspective. If you got a confirmation e-mail it looks like a legit retailer agreement that way. At least it seems you secured yourself one if you are lucky enough to get soon. Congratulations!

For what it's worth, the 3060 Ti pages appeared when the review embargos lifted (December 1st, 9:00 AM EST), precisely 24 hours before release date (December 2nd, 9:00 AM EST).
So it's safe to assume the 3060 queue will start when the reviews go up.

I have theoretical question. Do you think the RTX 3060 will be better in games than the RTX 2070? I play only on 1080p

My PERSONAL opinion on that after reading the limited specs is no. 3060 would not be a real upgrade for you. You’re talking single digit performance boost at most. 3060ti would be your entry level if you’re already at a 2070. I would get a 3070 in your case though.

Yeah, the 3060 is not for you. It'll barely give you a performance upgrade. It's for users like me, still on a 1060, or older. You'd at least need a 3060 Ti to feel the upgrade - even then, I'd suggest upgrading every 2 gens, not 1.

The XC will also most likely have a small (meaningless) overclock.
 
As I said in an earlier post:  EVGA has been barely manufacturing any of their Black models for other cards.  If you actually want a 3060, it's best to try for the XC.

But the 3060 XC GAMING, 12G-P5-3657-KR, at $390 is just $10 less than a 3060Ti FE. Not impossible to get those if you follow the Best Buy drop schedule.

The black will most likely be $380.  Add 15% to their base price.
