Today I installed the just released EVGA Hybrid cooler into my EVGA 2080ti XC Ultra Gaming. Temps look great as it is idling around 30c and while gaming hitting a maximum of 70c. That said, I noticed there's buzzing near the pump. Is this normal? It is definitely noticeable.

On restart I'm also getting a "firmware file not exists" error. Not sure if this is related to the card or not. Odd....

Quick question. What were your temps before the Hybrid cooler?

I was getting about  45c idle and 84c to 86c while gaming before the pump. Definitely a big improvement...

I quit Precision X1 and then ran it as admin and this time it did ask me to flash the LED. So that's fixed...though still getting the buzzing.

I installed both of my Hybrid coolers on my 2080Ti XC Ultras tonight. The LED wire on my second shroud was broken right out of the packaging. Bad solder joint. So my second card is now stuck with white LEDs while the top card is doing the RGB thing and it updated the firmware. Performance is great and maybe if I feel brave I'll try to solder that wire back, doesn't seem worth it to RMA it for an LED wire.

Otherwise the performance is FANTASTIC, hit my best 3D Mark score yet and temps never went about 66*C in my 1000D case with 130% power set in X1.

Temp at load is between 65 to 70c, Isn’t that kinda high? I though it would be around 50 to 55 with hybrid kit?

Air trap? Cant see how you have the rad mounted. Pump will die if there's no water for it to pump.

Sounds like the Fan is hitting a Wire or the Fan is hitting the Fan Shroud

Sounds like the pump to me. Is there a way to adjust the pump speed in precision X1? If so does it change the sound of the buzzing? How bout fan speed does that change the pitch of the buzzing?

Control both radiator and VRM fans using EVGA Precision X1

I’d adjust those and see if it changes the noise at all. If it does it’s either the pump or the fan is hitting something. Just my guesstimation though.

I'll try taking the shroud out and running without it.

It's definitely NOT the internal fan since at idle it isn't running.

It's most definitely the pump but in precision x1 there's no way to control pump speed :(

Removed the shroud and it is definitely the pump making excessive noise.

There is no control through X1 for the fans or pump. Not sure why people keep saying that.

OP you never answered this question. How do you have the radiator mounted. Vertical with the hoses at the top, vertical with the hoses on the bottom or horizontal in the top of the case?

From the Video the Tubes are on the Bottom and mounted on the Back of the Case.

"maximum of 70c" on a Hybrid is High, I wonder if the Pump is plugged into the Correct Connector.

I moved it so it is now at the back of the case. I have it vertical with the hoses on the bottom, as recommended by EVGA. Max temps have dropped to about 60c-67c. I'm idling at 31c.
