I just installed my hybrid kit, getting same loud buzzing noise from pump. :(

That sucks. Mine seriously sounds like a mini bar fridge...not happy...awaiting my RMA unit.

Yeah, I can hear it across the room. It feels like the pump is at 100% speed all the time.

Same here, I re-pasted and the temps dropped down at least. Max when running the VF Curve tuner test was 63C. The pump noise is still happening though.

Here is how I have my unit installed. Should I move it some place else?

Maybe try top intake? This way the card will be getting cool air from outside the case instead of hot air inside.

Sure I can try that, or could I also try a push/pull fan setup as well?

I personally would not do that. You are supposed to pump hot air OUT of the case, not into the case. If you do that you'll have both rads pumping hot air into the case...the CPU one up front and the GPU you one in the back.

I am doing a push pull config for the fans to get the air out of the case.

@  jdenice

you should mount the AIO radiator with the hoses on the bottom - so it does Not suck Air into the line

Another choice is the suction line (colder of the two lines) mounted as the low point - hoses on the side

check my AIO Folding build - though I do not know if the circulation is the same on the EVGA 1080TI FTW3 Hybrid

I get my RMA unit Monday. Let's see if this one makes the annoying buzzing noise.

Even the Manuel says to place the Tubing on the Bottom.
The Top is the last place you want the Tubing, this applies to your CPU AIO Cooler as well.
For the GPU Radiator the left side would OK over having the Tubing on Top but still the Bottom is the best Place.

I will go ahead and flip the gpu radiator back over. As for the CPU one, I already tested it out and it made no difference.

Just installed my kit on a 2080ti XC. Also getting buzzing, my PC is now louder than prior to installing it lol.... Haven't checked temps yet, but a little annoyed with the QC of this kit.

LED brown wire was broken off at solder. Yay.

The thermal pads for the pump mount had no backing on it, so it wasn't the cleanest, had indents from the bubble wrap.

The mylar washers you are supposed to put on for the memory baseplate do not fit thru the backplate, just not possible without removing the backplate. So I didn't use them.... Will this be a problem?

It says the wrap the fan cable counter-clockwise prior to install, k fine I did that, turns out later that the cable is TOO SHORT by about 1/2" to reach the plug. No matter how tight I made it, not possible. Their 2nd picture in section 8 does not have it wrapped around either, so I followed that instead.

It says to make sure the section of the wire with acetate tape is seated within the groove of the heatsink. I'd love to, but the tape was only applied to the end of the wire and a 2nd piece about half way, neither are in any position on the wire to be seated in the heatsink. Will this be a problem?

This is not a good sign! If my RMA has buzzing as well, I'll have to go a different route.

Yes to all of these. I had the same issues and discovered the same with both of my kits. Things I adjusted were:

Removed backplate to install mylar washers.
I did not wrap the fan cable around the pump, instead tucked it under the hoses and router it down & around the heatsink.
I am going to attempt to repair the soldering on the broken LED wire on my 2nd kit. First kit was fine.

Regardless of weather or not your noise changed DO Not Run the Hoses ON TOP
The manual tells you not to and now you have 3 forum members telling you to put the hoses on the bottom

With the hose on top you can get what air that happens to be in the loop feeding into the inlet flow and cause pump cavitation

If you have been running the system with the hoses on top from the start it is possible you have already ruined the pump = noise

My RMA hybrid kit should ship today (broken LED wire) and I really hope my replacement pump doesn't buzz. Currently both of my kits are dead silent and all I need is the replacement shroud, not an entire replacement kit.

No way to soldering it back on?

I don't have the tools or experience to solder something like that.

Did you shake the Pump while Holding the Radiator above for a few minutes before you installed on the Graphics Card?
To Force any Air Bubbles up and out of the Pump and into the top of the Radiator.
Why did you even install the Hybrid Kit knowing you needed to RMA it for a Broken Wire?
Or did you only install the Pump and Fan and not the Shroud with the Broken Wire?

I've installed the second RMA unit I received. This one still buzzes a bit but no where near the first one I received. I think I'll stick to this one...

I installed it thinking I would just "go without" for the LED, but it turned out to also have this buzzing issue. I have probably installed over 10 AIOs over the years. I've never had to shake a pump before, and I've never had such buzzing noises. The sound alone is clear enough to know it's not air bubbles.

After reading all of the messages about the poor quality of these kits I decided to buy this: https://www.alphacool.com...rce-rtx-2080-black-m01

Highest temps are in mid 50's. I got this installed on 2070 xc ultra after confirming it with the manufacturer. Just needed thinner thermal pads to have good contact with the GPU die.

I think I have decided to just stick with my air cooled 2080 Ti FTW3 Ultra.
My GPU temps are low 30's at idle and rarely see it get above 65c whilst gaming.
I don't think the gain for me at least would be worth the hassle of putting it on.

My replacement hybrid kit that I got for the broken LED wire is buzzing now...only a little bit though. It's barely audible. Is there something I can do to remedy it? It really doesn't bother me since when I'm gaming or doing anything else I can't hear it. I only noticed it because I had the door open on the case and was adjusting something while the system was on.

I don't think there is anything you can do. The pump is of somewhat questionable quality and it buzzes.

That is what I was worried about when sent unit for RMA. It is probably pointless to do exchange. It will be same buzzing. My computer is on a table to the right of me and I could hear it easy.
