BenedictumMy life has just been utter lately. I'm not going to bore you with the whole sob story, its similar to a lot of people, laid off due to covid, scratching to meet bills, etc. We got a windfall and I was really hoping I could get a new video card. I am running an EVGA 660 TI . It's sad I know, but its literally all I could afford. I was hoping to finally be able to upgrade it to something substantial today with a 3080, even if it was one of the lower clock 3080s, but no. Wasnt to be. Never saw it in stock, never got evga to load, newegg just kept telling me out of stock, it never flipped. I had notifications at newegg, evga, best buy, amazon, no emails from any retailer. I got up at 5 am my time specifically so I could be online and present to try and get the card, even set up autorefreshers. Guess I keep using my card that literally can't run modern software. Thanks EVGA. I've been buying your products exclusively for almost 20 years now. motherboards, graphics cards, power supplies, etc. Guess I don't matter.

Things will get better. While it's no 3080, would you be interested in a free 980 Ti? It's not EVGA, but it's free and it works, and it's a huge upgrade over a 660. PM me - I will cover shipping in the US.

Reid01My friend, I am genuinely sorry to hear about your difficult time. I know a lot of people are hurting right now.I mean this with kindness when I say if you are "scratching to meet bills", you may not want to worry about spending $700+ on a graphics card right now. Don't get me wrong, I was disappointed and flustered with not getting one today, too, but things will get better, and it will be so sweet and rewarding when you finally get one where you don't have to worry about pinching pennies. Just my two cents. I wish you the best. Edit: look at the kind offer below. I'd call that a (generous) win.

shiftsixIm confused, how is this EVGA's fault? Sorry to be insensitive but this is probably one of the hottest releases ever and to think its EVGA's fault you missed buying one at launch with demand being what it is, is hilarious. More hilarious you're painting it like that was the only batch of them ever and you're forever screwed because they didn't supply you with a card first. Be patient, sign up for email notifications for the incoming stock, maybe wait for a 3070 or 3060 if you're already having trouble with finances giving more time to save...
gsrcrxsilaid off due to COVID, on hard times, but willing to drop $750 for something that literally no one needs? I don't care if i get hate, you need to adjust your priorities. keep that cash for bills, as even if your story is true and you came by some extra cash now, nothing is certain and you're a fool if you waste it on some tech product to play games instead of providing some extra security for your family's future.
rblaes_99$10 bucks says this dude was gonna stick a RTX3080 in his Z68 motherboard.
rmacleanI dont know how you were planning to use the 3080 if you got it, i cannot imagine your mobo or cpu are up to spec.I know its not a kind sentiment but its a luxury item, probably not something you need if your having a hard time financially.
Benedictumoh since i started typing this out we decided to swing by best buy just for the hell of it to see if they had any, i get up to the door, and the surliest employee ever is sitting there and he goes "we aint got any 38s or ps5s" and im like "excuse me what" "the geforce 3080? the ps5? we aint got any, so if you here for that, you might as well turn around" like **** man, i appreciate the info but you cant find a better way to deliver it?

This dude got lucky fate intervened and kept a "fool and his money from being soon parted". ps. nice of you arestavo.

I don't think I would blame EVGA for something going on in someone's life, but for how the launch went they can be blamed. They knew what was coming and they didn't bother securing the site in any way. I wasn't even interested in the launch, just was curious how it would turn out. It was terrible. I'm around these forums quite often and all the usual people I see around here that had been talking about getting one at launch didnt get one. Haven't really heard of anyone getting one from EVGA site. Most of the people I have seen get a card were on Amazon EU. They definitely needed cloud flare or something.
