Those of you who have been here for product releases before, will there likely be any warning before the 24 hour queue head-start, or will it just be a "it's on now" thing with no warning"?

I believe someone had posted that there's a heads-up email, and usually the queue goes live at a specific time.

There was one already for some limited 3090 kingpin, and possibly another one earlier.

There was an announcement in EVGA twitter the day before.

It will be announced before hand by EVGA with date and time when the auto notify will go live.  The 3090 HC and the K|NGP|N HC were at 10:00 am PDST.  I am in the queue for the 3090 HC at 10:00:52 and there are probably still about 800+ ahead of me and notifications have gone out to 10:00:17.  The 3090 HC is the only card I was interested in getting at the present time.  The K|NGP|N HC queue shut down, I believe, after ten minutes.

When the 3080Ti goes live, you will have to be fast and have a little bit of luck.

HC was supposed to be limited. Hopefully standard cards have much bigger supply.

I hope so for everyone looking for the 3080Ti.  However, if you are not in the first few minutes, you may be in for a bit of a wait.

Do you where this announcement will be made?  Is it by email, social media, these forums, etc?

I am in for a 3080 Ti and I really hope that may more cards are available at launch time than there were of the Kingpin Hydro Copper a couple of days ago.

cyb3rm0nk3y:  When Nvidia officially announces the release date (if they don't delay it again), EVGA will set an auto notify time and date.  That info will be on the forums, social media, etc.  Don't worry, there will be enough yelling and hollering on the forums that I don't think you will miss it.

Kingpin cards are and always have been limited edition due to the nature of what it takes to produce them.

I wish you good luck and speed on your F5 key.  It will take some time, but things will eventually start easing up, I hope.

I think the supply will catch up in 2022. At least that's what Nvidia and AMD are saying. I'm hoping the low hash rate chips on the new cards deter mining so more gamers can get the cards.

The LHR is a wierd step from nvidia ... I understand that they are producing special mining cards now and entering that kind of hardware market, but still
What can I do with the mining card after the rally is over and non profitable? Use as a what... a VFX render card? a PhysX card?

You are not supposed to buy it, they are for large mining farms https://forums.evga.com/30-MILLION-of-Nvidia-gpus-sold-to-BITCOIN-Mining-corp-m3250310.aspx
And many miners this time will just wait for the next mining hype. If it crashes at all.

You wait, and you don't get one.
It's been this way with everything this year.

There is, many people have 30 series GPUs, e.g. see the Steam survey.

Lots of people signed in the first minutes/days.
Also EVGA probably has contracts forcing them to sell most of the supply to other distributors.

Yeah at least with the queue system you're guaranteed to get something. Sure it might be a while after release, but some chance is better than an incrementally low chance in my opinion.

Hopefully, being that the 3080ti & 3070ti are new skus, EVGA will balance the distribution to their contractual retailers and their own sales channel.

The distribution of the previous releases couldn't be re-balanced due to existing contracts but should be able to be done on the new releases
