repo1979Wow, thats a great idea to make a point huh? Some people's kids.
repo1979MSimbcavnaughI asked in a PM and you now need to Call EVGA to asked about a Second Hand Product Serial Number to see what the Current Status of the Item you are asking about.Let's tie up the phone lines to make it harder for customers with real issues to receive help. Wow, thats a great idea to make a point huh? Some people's kids.

Wow, thats a great idea to make a point huh? Some people's kids. It help understand something before commenting. If lots of people call evga support just to verify product remaining warranty, it will tie up the lines for any real customers calling in for support. I didn't say people should tie up the lines.
bcavnaughBut then if they own the product then they only need to look under their My ProductsWhy should a company have to support someone that does not own the Product in question? For the most part you do not really care for most of EVGA's Products to begin with so why do you Care?

SajinWe all just need to wait and see what evga is going to do about this.
EVGATech_BrandonSI'm sorry for the confusion; we have now removed the Guest RMA option, and all products will need to be registered and a standard RMA submitted instead.

bcavnaughAlso I can how unknown person can easily abused this Guest Process that is NOT provide by any other company.Being abused can be as simple as putting in random serial numbers to see if they are real only to scam others.
Ajiki-kunAs if my faith in EVGA couldn't erode more... Being a regular upgrader, this was one of the selling points of buying an EVGA card, that I could easily show my buyer an effective warranty even on a night or weekend when it's hard to get in touch with support. This move now just puts them on par with ASUS and MSI, who have more accessible centers up here. So... I suppose this just makes my next card decision easier.
EVGATech_JeffPHello, At this point in order to check the warranty on a non-registered product you will need to contact us though phone or e-mail, if your product is registered but was not purchased through an authorized retailer you can also submit a ticket to find out the remaining warranty length on a particular serial number. This is subject to change without notice as with all warranty terms and conditions.
mikoulyakI'm ok with Guest RMA being gone, but at least bring back the warranty check tool, please!
MSim... When you get time, let EVGA know how you feel about this. https://www.evga.com/support/suggestions.asp Maybe if enough people send them "feedback", they will finally do the right thing.
HoggleI would just wait for EVGA to announce something. Odds are good for a major site change they will make an official announcement.
JalenJadeWhy would a company want to add resale value to a product? People who buy from another person are not that companie's customer. They are that person's customer. The company made no money from that sale. It should be as difficult as possible for a second hand owner to get warranty service.

The warranty following the product has been around since 2012, that is when EVGA did away with the default Limited Lifetime warranty on products.

The warranty following the product has been around since 2012, that is when EVGA did away with the default Limited Lifetime warranty on products. Ya about that lifetime warranty.... We lost that because of pure abuse and fraud. I know because i was one of the most active forum support posters back then, saw it over and over and over. And now the same people have now ruined the warranty terms -again- In the EU, China, south america, asia and the USA the scumbags have learned to game the system to make money off of EVGA's warranty policy---->and I am very glad they are trying to put an end to it.Registration and smart fraud checking should shutdown the worst abusers, but I would like to see EVGA go even further. You don't seem to understand how MUCH THIS COSTS, and why -that cost- is the primary reason EVGA is going down hillReally? six cards a year? for someone who didn't pay EVGA a dime... hmmm 6 new RMA cards with shipping too? Just who do you think is paying for the thousands of cards and the shipping? Its us, and all for scumbags who never gave EVGA a dime! No, EVGA needs to stick with the best warranty and best service for REGISTERED first owners as PRIMARY.Secondhand cards should get whatever is left on original warranty ONLY after registering and no more than 2 cards a year -ever-Anything after the second (registered) owner should be out of warranty completely, regardless of time remaining on the warranty. EVGA can spend the HUGE amounts of time and money saved, by stepping up customer service/RMA's for registered first owners like they used toThats what will bring in the customers who spend money
