Okay great news!
Yesterday, on Tuesday, January 06, 2015, the second EVGA GTX 480 I bought off ebay arrived with a Mint in box condition!

That side fan blows cold air on the heatpipes so the GTX 480's don't overheat so easily
Here the Driver I am using atm ForceWare 344.75 WHQL and it detects both EVGA GTX 480's as well:
