I'm having trouble keeping up with you your swapping parts so quick, stop it stop it I say

Yep, I know you told me that a few posts ago, But Now I have found and purchased an AMD 3990x at Memory4less for $2,389.49 Shipped!

So Now I will once again be changing my New Build and after all that is finished I'll have to wait for a 3090 (Non-Bot Prices).

Anyone looking to buy a barely used AMD 3970X?

100-100000010WOF as listed on the memory4less website is a 3960x according to the part #... https://www.amd.com/en/pr...zen-threadripper-3960x

My 3960x box says the same part # too.

The part # for the 3990x is 100-100000163WOF.

I called them back Just to Make Sure that what I ordered WAS an AMD 3990X and they have Verified that I Did purchase that exact CPU and have Guaranteed me with a refund if it is not.
They said that All Three Listings being shown are for an AMD 3990X.

2389 seems to be a too good to be true price again especially with the following listed on the site...

General Information

OEM CPUs.

The CPU you are ordering, if it is designated as OEM it can be NEW or Refurbished.

Depending on how old the CPU is and how long it has been out of production, the CPU condition may be new, pull, pre-owned, or like-new condition. The older the cpu is the more likely it is out of production. In that case these pre-owned, pulls are the only ones available.

ALL OEM Cpus are tested before shipping and carry a 21 day warranty for replacement only. There are NO cancellations or returns accepted for these parts.

Please check your system requirements carefully before ordering CPU's.

If you are going to use the CPU in a dual-cpu SERVER application or machine then YOU MUST match the SL code for the new CPU with your existing CPU . Please call us if you need help.

SL codes - All INTEL cpu's are also designated by a Step code or SLcode. This is a 5 digit alpha-numberic code on the cpu itself. Your particular cpu may have many SL codes (think of them as versions of cpus made). In order to run dual cpus in one machine the SL codes must match

If you have a brand name computer (eg HP, DELL, IBM you must provide us with a HeatSink part number or we will ship you a generic heatsink if you order one from us.

Yep, I read all that same info and I know it may be a used or refurbished cpu and quoted ALL that you have shown to numerous sales/tech past Memory4less and they stated over and over that I have paid for an AMD 3990X 64-core processor.

There is nothing to do but wait and see what arrives.

On your order does it state you bought a new, used, or oem cpu? Because the processor is listed under the Unboxed and OEM Processors on their website, and it doesn't state if it's oem, new, or used.

You Know What?
I called the technical rep and had him go to his warehouse and actually PUT HIS HANDS on the CPU I was ordering and Yep, You were absolutely right again Sajin. THEY made a mistake in the Wording on their Site about that CPU and They have Cancelled the order for me.

I'm so Friggin' TIRED of people LYING TO MY FACE on what I am buying and making me look Bad on my incorrect Forum posts.

Just stick with your 3970x, you got a great deal on it. If not well when I get better I guess I'll just have to give you a woopin and knock some sense into you.

Thanks, I'll more than likely be happy with what I have AFTER I can purchase a couple of 3090's which I'm pretty positive will be WAY past the Sept. 24th release day.

At least you were able to catch it early, and didn't have to deal with it once it got to your house.

Yeah, I bet if I let it delivered, They would probably not give me a refund either.

Anyway, It's time to move on with the build. I have a pair of sabrent 500GB PCIe 4.0 m.2 SSD's I want to install in the DIMM M.2 slot heatsink on my ASUS ROG Zenith II Extreme and try to arrange them in RAID 0.

I tried to raid 0 on the dimm slots of my zenith ii extreme and was unsuccessful, had to use the m.2 slots behind the lower cover.

Well, If I can't get them to work in the Dimm m.2 slot, I'll try where you have yours behind the lower cover for RAID 0.

10GB cards, 20GB cards, 24GB cards.....
It wouldn't surprise me Nvidia comes out with a 48GB card depending of what happens when AMD releases theirs in October!

The Only positive thing about not getting a new card now is that it looks like the people that did manage to get a new card on the 17th are going to find that new higher memory cards will soon to be offered.

Kind of glad I didn't get a chance to buy one Now...

Looks like there is a lot more going to be happening about new updated card releases.
