Oh dear... What's that?

Well the top is a idiotic vid which makes no real sense.

The second pic is probably a glimps at his latest project. Course I'm afraid to ask where he plans on putting it. BUT IT'S SO BIG! WILL IT FIT WITHOUT HURTING ANYTHING?????

Your supposed to play the music and stare at the huge copper and get intimidated, I did.

Well the big copper and his laugh was all I needed to get intimidated. The music was actually soothing.

Thank you!  yes, the music was meant to listen to while you saw a lapping job that took the better part of days.  That is one of 3 projects being worked on in the blockman camp over here.

Hey im trying to bench my 920 and the first core temps are consistantly higher than the other cores. Is this the norm or do I have a hardware problem I reapplied TIM twice only to get same results should I consider lapping block and cpu.

Pretty much norm really. What progs are you using to test/bench? Alot will only use the first core primarly.

Im just doing a few vantage runs theres a humble single 280 thread I think I can take the top in with a little work. trs pmd you with a question about 280. I cant seem to get anything over 4.4 benchable no matter how much power I give it. Always freezes during cpu test. I got passed it once @4.6 only to freeze during physics test. I am in Ohio with a window open so I can get pretty good temps. Oh yea one more thing does it hurt to clone the monitor during vantage??? I cant seem to tell a vast difference in scores.

The results of lapping:  100% contact with the CPU and heatsink.

What heatsink you might ask?  well... keep your eyes peeled.  Its still being field tested, but it already has done wonders in the pre-testing phase.  If anyone is interested in standoffs for any waterblock, just get me a dimension, and I can hook you up.

see those plastic thingys on the screws?  Those are standoffs.  the make sure your waterblock will never overtighten so you get a nice even cpu pressure from your waterblock.   You never have to worry about warping your board.

Lol I have to be up in 5 hours too. Heres what I am thinking I need something that looks decent as it will be inside in a newly finished office(thats a video game room for grown ups) I have a decent amount of space. Last and very certainly not least it needs to be in the price range of 500 bucks, that looks like what I can buy one for. I have plenty of work space just need some help drawing it up, I really dont want to wing it. Oh yea most importantly I have a pretty good handle on basic water cooling but thats it. Electrical ehhh going to need a big hand there.

Got my Classy today, set her up and she works fine (for now, muahahahaha). Im gonna do some max bclk's\Super Pi runs here in a bit, see what kind of OC's im in store for under DICE.

The backplate adheasive wasnt strong enough to go on a second time. I fixed it though

I told everybody the PNY GPU ruins the buzz Oh well, Ill just have to settle with what I got for now.

1/5th to 1/3rd hp. anything else wont keep up.
as nate said...you could build your own, but you would have to put in serious work for it not to look out of place.(for the people who don't know what they are doing)
and i don't think your gonna get one of those for under 500 bucks either. maybe a 1/10th...(speculations of course)
this is the one i have
http://www.thereeftank.co...rctica-1-3-hp-chiller/
but you can check the different models and prices here.

Re:Get It Colder......2 2010/01/12 23:36:35 (permalink)
Right out of the box my Classy can do this. I literally just set some high voltages in the BIOS and upped the Bclk. PCIE was at 105.6 (set at 105)

Max Bclk with a 2:8 divider, and crappy OCZ Plat RAM. My RAM or Motherboard doesnt seem to like the 2:6 divider, freezes at 223, than again I havent done any experimenting yet.

Max CPU Speed thus far. This was done with ~1.5125v. When I upped it one more I got the 124 BSOD, and more VTT didnt help, so Im thinking this is my RAM's limit, not my CPU. This was done with my DK at normal Ambients. Cant wait to do 30f ambient on the GPU's, and DICE on the CPU.
