Halo_003 xxrabid93 Rudster816 xxrabid93 Sweet! Price? Also, what make is it, and by whom? Duniek Wide pot. I bought the pot for $65, but Vokl had just bought some insulation he needed for it so I bought 3' of 2 7/8" ID insulation for the pot for $13. Thats $78 total for those who cant add. Still gotta buy the eraser however. Damn lucky bastard! That is a super amazing deal. My cpu pot i bought a while back was for $100 (insulation included) but the pot is nowhere near what you got. Oh, i am sooo jealous right now.... Just to make you more jealous I just picked up a NB/SB waterblock for $30 from Iride4u. Water's for newbs ( at least, above-ambient like Halo) . Ya gotta roll the DICE. When i got my cpu pot, i also grabbed a nb pot for $25. EDIT: Just saw the marketplace. You got an amazing deal i must say.

With X58's DICe on the NB isnt nearly as useful as it was on LGA775 because the i7 has an IMC. You could make a NB pot for $15 with a copper sweat cap and pipe\plastic mounting Maybe Nateman should do this and see if he can push his Q6600 further.....oh wait nevermind......he lit his 790i on fire!

I plan on using the DICE pots on s775 extensively, before i even conteplate putting it on my Classy, which is my main rig. I have 3 nice s775 boards to use first: DFI LP UT P35 T2R, Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P, and an EVGA 750i FTW. Oh, and my chips: q9300, e7400, e1500, pd 915, p4 660. Right now i am trying to work on the e7400, which is in the EP45 currently. So far, it seems to be a bit of a volt-whore; 1.5v @ 4.2 and it bsods at the Windows loading screen. 1.45v @ 4.0 and it is stable just long enough to get in a SuperPi 1m and WPrime 32m test. Keep tweaking it seems... Also, i wouldn't/don't plan on using the nb DICE pot on my Classy, even if i put my 920 under...

Ha. Lucky you and all your S775 stuff.... I'll have to run DICE on my X58 boards first. Might get a friend to let me do his Q6600 and noname board.

improving...4.2 w/ 1.55vcore actual 1.52v. Ran superpi 1m and wprime 32m at 4.2. I guess with this chip, it just takes dumping the volts into it. The good thing though, at idle, the temps are still too cold to measure. Both cores have stuck sensors at a minimum of 30*C. Both are like that now. Load is around 35-40*C. I don't know my ambient down here in the workshop, but my fingers are going numb typing, so that has gotta tell you something.

I had to do the same thing with a board or two I wouldnt worry. The gigabyte I was just playing with that was the case had to shut the psu off to boot after a fail. Usually happens to me when I try to push the memory too far more than anything.

hellshealer reset the cmos see if that helps First thing I tried. Wonder if it has something to do with xkool jumper. put it back to default that's when symptom started. Come to think of it some things did not reset/go back after putting jumper back and resetting cmos those where extreme cooling option in bios and only cdrom not named models of cd/dvd drives. I am going to flash bios and see what happens.

Flashing bios no help. I think its the psu had rig just shut down with known good clocks that worked with 2x 295's. Shut downs happened with a 280 and a 5870 both draw less than 2x 295.

Hay awalleye how did you go ?? ive had that problem a number of times but never narrowed it down to one easy fix 69 is a mem problem so in most cases i removed all but one stick (i also cleaned the contacts if your taking the ram in and out it can get a build up off crap) and reboot (after cmos reset) in and if no joy try different dimm slot ( 4 or 6 ) then if it boots i normally flash bios just to be on the safe side also removing the psu for a half hour then trying again later some times helped .....(don't know why but like all things that are giving us greif walking away and going back later with a clear mind does help) i feel for ya i nearly RA'd my MB the first time Good luck

Sure it is not OS does it with no HD hooked up, just in bios F10 enter... Eraser to dimm contacts have not tried that. When I figure it out I tell ya. I just bought a spare psu. I have another rig to use parts from but at this point I would rather not take that one down. Thanks all,all good suggestions. Keep pushin. @Rudster816 I am selling a 5870.
