Hello I went a bit mad a spent my money on 2 of these cards to run in sli and I'm a bit worried about the temperatures i'm getting.

Running heaven benchmark for 20 mins or so with only one card in the case both cards hit
75 (gpu1)
78c (gpu2)

In sli the top card hits 80c and the bottom hovers around 68 to 70c

I'm a bit mental running sli in a corsair air240 on a matx board, there isn't much room between the cards should I be worried about the top card being at 80c? I have good air flow in the case and even running with the side off with a 120cm fan blowing air into the cards from the side while in sli the temps don't change.

I also heard reference blowers would be better due to them pushing the hot air out of the case. Would it be worth trading my acx cards for blowers?

Thanks.

80c is fine. If it were high 80s, I would be worried.

Have you set up a custom fan profile to allow for more cooling capacity to the top card? Maybe turn the fan up an extra 10% or so over stock.

Yeah it doesn't seem to make any difference what speed the fans are running at.
The top card seems to sit at 80c, bumping the fans up just add noise it's very strange.

Then it will be fine. If you have a few minutes, you could try refreshing the thermal paste, and see if it helps. Maybe even switch the top and bottom card to see if it evens the temp out.

Yeah I switched them around it took the other card a little longer to hit 80c and the temps where closer overall, the top being 80c the other 76ish.

Yes. All cards come from the factory setup to be quiet so you may need to tweak the fan speeds to get better results. Having no gap between the cards isn't helping either.

Heat should never be an issue. If the card goes above 95C, the BIOS will shut down the PC. Since the card doesn't burn up until 105C, which is impossible to reach, there is not an issue. However, the cards life could be reduced from years to monthes if the card stays in the high 80's for most hours out of the day, everyday. (Gamer life)

80C is not "fine", 80C is where the cards start to throttle. Correct me if I am wrong. I would always try to keep them below 80, ideally 75C.
