    You're right.

Registered or not, it's 3-years. Warranty is tied to the card, NOT the owner anymore. So even if you buy one used, it will carry a 3-year warranty.

Of course you can do EVGA Extended Warranty (5-year, or 10-year) for an additional fee. ($50+ for 10-year).

You are asking for detail not yet available. However, we did confirm today a Receipt is still required at this time for warranty issues. We will know if that is still needed after April 2nd or not once they post all the details...

How does that suck? 3 years is more then enough warranty for a graphics card. In most cases you will be getting a new card in 3 years anyways. Just my opinion but I definitely wont wait 3 years to buy another card :)

It does not matter where the card came from under the new warranty. All that matters is that the card is still within 3 years.

Really?  Let's see for an additional 50 dollars I get a warranty that will last 10 years hmmmmm so in nine years 11 months and 29 days EVGA will send me the same card or better if it hits the rocks? Hmmmmmmm Tell me how this sucks again? Oh well I don't even keep my cards 3 years so I may not even bother lol. But I do wonder about resale cause if they honor the 10 year warranty  no matter who owns the card then that can be a great reselling point.

    This,
I'm still using 3x480's which can max BF3 out at 2560x1600, they are coming up on 3years quick and seriously thinking about skipping the 680's for something better.

The key word is additional. we use to get that warranty on all mid to high-end cards without having to pay extra. It would be nice to see products ending with GR (5yr warranty), have it carry the same stuff KR does where customers doesn't have to register it and the warranty tied to the product. People don't mind paying a bit more upfront if its tied in with the product purchase. Another thing evga should do is extend how long people have to register the product to extend the warranty or qualify for step-up program.
