Could be worse - Newegg spent about 20 minutes popping up the Zotac Mini 1070 ti model on their site in the main search function, with a "ADD TO CART" button live, only to have the button take you to a "item removed due to lack of stock" notice.
Then you go back and refresh the search, and the card was STILL showing as in stock.
It finally stopped popping up as in stock at all a couple mins ago.
Now that vorsholk has stopped his abuse, I'm returning to folding. I no longer MOO due to abuses by certain "whales" in the Gridcoin community - so I now work the Distributed.net project directly again.

Its crazy, the only GPU I have found available is the "titan xp jedi" for 1199 on nvidias website, but I don't want a 1200$ gpu >.>

$1138 - which is a noticeable discount from the standard Titan Xp but STILL expen$ive.

Some user in the buildapcsales subreddit submitted a link to the EVGA 1080ti SC2 page as stock went live- currently 3k people are on that subreddit browsing right now. Nothing wrong with that but explains the situation a bit.

It's not that the card makers don't care about gamers, it's that AMD and Nvidia aren't supplying enough GPUs to keep up with the demand from the 3'd party makers, and the reasons the GPU makers CAN'T keep up with the demand right now.
