LED's on my previous GTX1080 FTW were much brighter and now since I've upgraded to this one they seem to be way dimmer. Is this normal?

Have you tried to change the brightness using the nvidia led visualizer?

This Nvidia program doesn't seem to have an effect at all on my GPU...

EDIT: It was a bad install, it's working but they are pretty dim even at 100% brightness in NV LED V.

What color LED are you using with your FTW3? Using Precision XOC / NV LED V and changing the specific color can change the brightness of the LED. If you set it to the defaut Red, Green, or BLue, you'll see how bright it can get. Worth a shot I guess!

EDIT: There are certain shades of purple that is very dim as well as if you use a darker color.
