Because the RTX Cards have no ASIC.
That ended a long time ago.

Now that asic is the thing of the past is there a new way to tell if a card is good or great?

Lower quality chips will have a higher default voltage. Higher quality chips will have a lower default voltage. =)

But that will not show true overclocking performance. The only way to find the top end of the card is overclocking, which is way more fun than default. :-)

All my chips that have had a lower default voltage will overclock better on air, so yes it does tell which card is the better overclocker. =)

best silicon has low ---> leakage and requires less voltage to do the job

My 1031 mV card is better than the 1050 mV card

I just looked at my GTX 1080 Ti FE Card and their is no ASIC to show under TechPowerUp GPU-Z v2.23.0.
My GTX 9xx Cards show it.

ive had blast toying with kingpin all week, I've got it dialed in pretty solid, I have 115 on the core which results in 2165 but after load in goes to 2130 and ive played shadow of the tomb raider for hours last night, only one time went down to 2115 it was briefly I canceled background process and the entire time it stayed rock solid 2130 did not fluctuate not even by one mhz, Im wondering if I put a hydro on it and get it cooler if it will clock itself higher, but it stayed at 46c couple times it creeped up to 50 51c but all benches passed fire, time, heaven, valley, superposition,
as well as game benches lie gears 4 and both tomb raiders
