Hello, I know that there are several posts on this forum about LED problems on EVGA 2080 ti xc ultra. I followed all the tips, and nothing solved. But before I noticed that my VGA led had gone out forever, I was trying to figure out why my PC was restarting randomly, and in very light tasks like surfing the internet, watching youtube videos, reading news, using Word. No BSDO, no freezes, no warning. Also the computer goes into standby mode (I set it to the turns off screen only, the other option is “never”) and no longer returns, the screen remains black, and I need to use the physical button to restart. I noticed that every time there is a random and spontaneous restart, VGA fans accelerate, consequently making a noticeable noise. The funny thing is that this behavior STILL didn't occur in games. I did more research and pointed to problems with the PSU. I changed the Corsair HX1000i for my old one, and I know it works, EVGA 850 G2. The same symptoms I quoted above were repeated. So it can't be the PSU. My attention turned to the EVGA 2080 TI XC Ultra. My question is, have you ever seen anything like it, was there a solution, or is there only RMA left? Thank you.

Random restarts could be caused by faulty system ram, or even overheating. How does the system run with the gpu removed from the system? How do your system temps look?

Hello, thanks I forgot to mention. I tested two memory pairs separately. Gskill Trident Z f4-2800c15d 2x8gb and Corsair Vegeance CMK16GX4M2B2800 2x 8gb with the same results. Temperature is ok GPU idle ~ 35 ° load ~ 70 °, CPU idle ~ 32 ° load ~ 65 °. My motherboard is a Z390 Aorus Xtreme. When I turned on without the video card, its (many) LEDs light up normally, the Kraken x62 cooler, also light up, but the q-code shown was different, I don't remember exactly which code. I have a samssung 970 evo plus m.2 in slot that shares lanes from pcie 4x slot (which is empty), 4 hdd, and several usb devices.

New build, upgraded GPU or New problem to a previously stable PC ? OS - have any recent update from MS prior to the issue starting ? Which Nvidia driver ?

Hello I am testing the 9900k integrated video, (wonderful 4K at 29fps) and so far none of the problems have happened. Later I will test another VGA from my previous build, GTX 1080. Thank you. Hello It's relatively new, about 6 months old. The problems started a few days ago. I always keep updating Nvidia drivers as they come out. Everything is updated as the websites of my hadware manufacturer release new drives. If MS made a new update that killed my VGA leds, causes random restarts and prevents the PC from returning from standby, I didn't know. Thank you

Since testing with both the integrated processor VGA and GTX1080 had no problem, I started the EVGA 2080 TI RMA process.

Do you have two separate power cables running from the PSU to the GPU? Not one power cable that splits into two, but two separate ones? These GPUs pull A LOT of power...and have been know to stomp on even top-grade PSUs if there are not two separate power cables run. This was not really a requirement for 1080 Ti...just a "best practice".

Yes, Two exclusive cables for each connector.
