This is what I use for doing balisong tricks. It's like a balisong without the bite and potential loss of hand/fingers.

Just thought I'd share some of these awesome kitchen knives.. Doesn't seem anyone here likes kitchen knives, but usually if one has a passion/appreciation for quality blades, you may appreciate some of these:

A few "dream" pieces in there, I certainly wouldn't mind owning.

those look really nice, kinda like what my mom used before she moved and took those with her... 1 3 5 and 6... now we are stuck with cutco and some other brand... sharp as #$%^ though, and haven't needed to be sharpened in years... the tip is chipped on the chef knife though :(

Sweet. Glad someone else could use these.. #1 is about $700.   #5 is about $350. #2 is the cheapest out of the bunch @ about $225.

nice, but they didn't FEEL that expensive lol. they felt like the same quality as most kitchen knives I've used most my life... unless my parents always had nice knives lol

Could be..

They are likely some of the sharpest kitchen knives you've ever used too.   AND, if you get yourself some quality stones, and hone down that edge even further, you'd have yourself one hell of a knife.

The difference is negligible, probably to most. But the construction, and craftsmanship should be like none other.

And no, I don't own any of them, but sure wouldn't mind.   The ones I have are a bit cheaper.

they are just as sharp or sharper than my katana which has been sharpened and honed to 22 degrees. i think all but the chef knife are 20 degrees where the chef might be 22-25

I think the $700 knife might be 14 degrees, if I'm not mistaken. Most chef knives are right around 22-25, like you said. Most of the Japanese knives, even the cheapest, are 18 degrees or under. Which is why I much prefer them to any Western brand.

With a little practice, patience, and a few quality stones, you could easily get that 18 down to 14.

With the stones, you can learn an extremely old trade.

I have just modest experience, and I admire those who actually have the skills to do professional sharpening and honing.

Hello max, your collection is really beautiful congratulations! I would also like to buy a katana to add to my collection when I have more money :) Do you happen to want to see something? Or can you tell me where did you buy them? At the moment in my collection I have several Cold Steels such as the Magnum Tanto IX which I found to understand , However, I would like to buy a real Kill Bill style Katana, but I am really difficult to find, if you can give me some advice I would be very grateful!
