https://www.techpowerup.com/299214/logitech-g-and-herman-miller-is-planning-to-release-a-new-gaming-chair Back in July 2020, Logitech G and Herman Miller unveiled a special edition of the Embody chair from Herman Miller as a gaming chair unlike anything that was on the market at the time. It didn't get rave reviews as a gaming chair, although it's considered a very good office chair in the Herman Miller range. There was also the issue of the asking price, which was a steep US$1,495. Fast forward to 2022 and the two companies are planning to release what they call an "ergonomic chair designed to adapt to every gamer's needs". The two companies have apparently had a closer collaboration this time and have created their "first-ever design built from the ground up to support every mode of play". The new chair is set to launch on the 6th of October and until then we only have a small teaser picture of what appears to be the back of the chair and what should be the lumbar support adjustment wheel. If the price is over 1000 dollars I expect the item will sell to a very niche market.

Come in at something realistic , price wise, and it will sell like hotcakes.

I'd expect a $1500 price tag. Good ergonomic and supportive racing seats can be $1500+, and companies like Recaro sell their seats for cars and offices.

It’s worth spending the money on an ergonomic chair but not sure $1,500 is a price many people would pay.

I have the HM Embody in the Logitech G flavour. Very happy with it for office work, it kinda forces one to adopt a good posture... but I still go back to "improper" seating when playing games :)
(and no, I don't mind the creaking, I find it rather cute and quirky)
Will be interesting to see what they launch now, it seems to be a new design rather than a rework of a standard HM?
But after paying an arm and a leg for the Embody... I don't see myself changing it anytime soon :)

Herman Miller chairs are amazing - we have HM Aeron chairs at home for our computer desks (me and Mrs) and I balked at the price when we got them, but now I realize they were worth every penny. We've had them for years and they still look and operate like they're brand new, even after using them all day every day working from home through the worst of the pandemic. We used to go through 'cheap' computer chairs almost every year, they just would not last well and would get uncomfortable after a while, so in retrospect, the HM Aeron has effectively amortized its cost anyway.
I expect these Logi/HM chairs will be very expensive, but I equally expect they'll be worth it in the long run, providing Logi don't cheap out on it... although I guess HM would not put their name on it if Logi did that.
