I'm in the process of trying to do that now because I'm having all sorts of weird things happen, screen flashing, pc shutting down randomly

Not the psu, it's under extremely low load, I'm not even gaming I'm on the desktop trying to troubleshoot. The screen is blanking out and coming back repeatedly, and twice when I've booted up 2/3rd of the screen is just a black box. clean driver install didn't fix it. I'm getting pretty frustrated because my 2080ti was just plug and play, this has been a nonstop battle all day..

I figured out what the issues is... When g sync is enable it does this. Not really sure what I can do to get around that since I definitely want to use g sync

What's your monitor model?

It's an lg nano cell sm9000pua. it has all hdmi 2.1 ports and support for vrr and worked great with g sync on the 2080ti I had.
Now with g sync enabled it occasionally flashes a big bar that looks like tv static on top of the display blanking out every 30 seconds or so.

Try reading through this thread.  I had a feeling you'd say LG.  It's not the same model, but definitely the same effect.  There is a highlighted answer for a potential quick solution to disable "instant game response" to see if that'll help.  Otherwise, the thread will probably be better to help you.

Thanks I'll look into it. I was just doing some reading and apparently it's a well-known issue. I bought my tv like 6 months ago, but since it's not working as advertised I wonder if they would be cool and RMA it. I don't want to deal with this after waiting weeks to get this 1800 dollar gpu..

Hey Folks could a couple of you guys ask Jacob on Twitter if there’s gonna be any more movement on step up next week. For some reason this guy always ignores my tweet and never responds. Might be because I ask him almost every day if there’s going to be movement on step up but oh well maybe one of you will have more luck than I.

Everything he's said thus far indicates a drop next week similar to this week if not bigger.

If any mods are around, could you add this to the OPs post on the main page so people can update info and add themselves?

Update: I talked with LG and they claim they are working on a firmware update for the NanoCell tvs to fix the g sync issues... But it seems like their priority is the OLEDs. They wouldn't let me RMA the TV, but they offered me a 20% rebate on an OLED... Super tempting since the 65 inch CX is on sale for 1849 right now. That would make it under 1500 bucks which is a steal. I just really can't afford it after buying a GPU for about the same price as a tv

O Why? It's the whole reason I follow this thread. lmao

Because with all these user created threads (especially threads created by users with very low post counts) once the user that created the thread get's their card, everyone else is on their own. They aren't invested in this forum and they don't really care when anyone else gets their card only their own. 
 
I'm not calling out the OP as he doesn't have any obligation what so ever to maintain this thread. Just stating why it happens.

Any chance a user with more forums activity would be willing to take this thread over? I would myself but I fall in the new user low post count category so I'd probably be terrible at updating past getting my card myself although I spose I'll be at the tail end of the list so maybe that wouldn't be a terrible idea.

There is no way to let anyone take this thread over. If however you would like to create a thread of your own and direct people to it be my guest. Though be warned it's a daunting task, you'd need to copy all info from this thread and also skim user posts from this thread to update with relevant info. If you're up to the task be my guest.
